AVOID AT ALL COSTS - CHEAPLY BUILT IN MALAYSIA BREAKS PERMANENTLY!! I purchased this unit on Oct 9, 2024 and it came with a year warranty plus another 3 months when registered. At the 14-month mark, the unit became very erratic and would only play the occasional disc from only two of the CD trays. I tried various fixes, but noticed when I tilted the unit, some plastic pieces fell out from the CD exchange unit. I finally contacted Sharp on 2/23/2026, but they refused to honor the warranty, saying I had contacted them too late, even though the problem had appeared within the warranty period. DO NOT BUY - It's always a bad sign when a company doesn't stand behind a product that breaks permanently after 14 months. My previous CD changers would literally last decades without any problems.

Bought this for my granddaughter’s Birthday OCT 27 give it to her early so she could enjoy it and the cd player did not even last till her BIRTHDAY called Best Buy to exchange it and was informed I was 5 days past my exchange or return. I have been a customer for 25 years never returned or exchanged anything in the past paid my credit on time get a gift for my granddaughter for $215.00 that last 20 days and customer service will not work with me. I will never shop at Best Buy again for any thing cash or credit I have to many other place to shop that will work with me! Best Buy just lost a long time customer.

sound is great for its size. cd confusing sometimes only plays for 30 seconds n the cd stops playing..It says its bluetooth but you can not use wirlesss headphones only your phone or tablet, which i can listen to my headphones thru my phone..whats thw point, I called Sharp customer service today and was told to use wired headphones..if I would have known this I never would have bought two of these ..I wanted to listen to cds thru headphones and not wake people up..VERY DISAPPOINTED

When his old CD player quit working, I got this for my 72 year old brother who is in a home. I had Best Buy ship it directly to him since I live in Chicago and he lives in Jacksonville. It turned out that the CD player just did not work - some of the trays wouldn't open and the ones that did wouldn't recognize CDs. I got chat support from Sharp, but what they had us do didn't fix it. They said it would need to be repaired. And this was very complex to set up and use. Don't waste your money on Best Buy's protection plan until this pandemic is over. I bought it specifically so he could call and ask for help in setting it up. When he called, he got a recording that Geek Squad help was not available due to the virus. I want to return it, but the home threw out the packaging, and anyway he is under lockdown and cannot return it himself. I am going to try and get a friend to return it to a local Best Buy store, but I don't know if they will take it back or repair it. So I have probably lost my money.

The unit was easy to set up and had beautiful sound the first day. The next day I turned it on and the CD trays kept randomly opening and closing. Nothing I or my son tried was of any help and the manual certainly was no help. Now my CD's are in the unit and the trays will not open. I am stuck with an unit I cannot use because I don't want to lose the CD's.

Tried 2 units and neither worked as they were supposed to. The 5 disc reader would only read one at a time and you couldn’t switch which tray to play. Bought one, returned it and got another one hoping it was just a glitch but no. Second one was the same way. Contacted Sharp and they wanted me to send the brand new unit to them to figure out why it wasn’t working. Kudos to those who got a functional one. Reviews indicate a lot of them were non functional.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!! I bought the Sharp 5 disc Micro System from Best Buy on December 3rd, 2022 as a Christmas gift for my wife. The remote stopped working in March of 2023. I called Sharp support and they told me the remote only has a 30 day warranty and I would have to pay $58.00 to replace it. That is ridiculous!! I have never had a remote control go bad in my life! I am done buying Sharp products!

Need to know how to return this to Sharp. Not working as designed. Customer service says that it’s expected that it switch from tuner to Bluetooth. I was advised to turn off all Bluetooth devices nearby. Totally unacceptable and not working as designed when the stereo and remote clearly has different modes, such as CD, tuner, Bluetooth, etc. Also, now, even with Bluetooth off, it will not shut down. I do not live in an apartment with nearby neighbors. I also now have to unplug the stereo To shut it down. It keeps coming back on. awful garbage lasted less than a year.

The quality of this unit is sub-par. The cd player does not change or select easily or quickly. Takes over two minutes to change from one playing cd to another, the remote does not respond unless its right in front and pointed directly at the unit. Blue tooth drops....waste of money.

Sound cuts out sporadically no matter what cd is playing. Does not always start cd at beginning. Switches to bluetooth on its own. Sound is good. Got it on sale- doubt i could get a replacement for same price so will put up with it

Hello Gary, please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconveniences caused. If you have played a CD in the unit before, the unit will remember where it stopped and continue from that spot. Please be advised that once a device (phone/tablet) has on Bluetooth and is already connected to the unit and is within 32 feet (10 meters) it will be activated, this does not have to be yours, it can be from someone who is in the same proximity. I've only had this for a short while (since June of '23). It's been confusing to figure out playing the CDs. It always take a while to stop one and go to another. And lately, whatever mode I have the unit in (FM radio, CD), the unit stops the current mode and jumps to Bluetooth mode. I would not recommend buying this product. Definately not worth the money!!

I bought one of these about a year ago and it failed. I lost a CD in the machine. Took it to the Geek Squad and the guy said it couldn't happen. Took it home, dismantled the machine and there was the disc, Like an idiot, I bought another and the same thing happened within a couple weeks. This time, a Geek Squad guy was able to get the disc out and noted the problem and said it couldn't be fixed Bottom line: DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM UNDER AY CIRCUMSTANCES.

So I plugged in this system and nothing. It does not power up. I called Sharp and they asked me FIVE TIMES to try a different electric outlet. I unplugged working items in order to plug in this non-working stereo. The customer service agent tried to argue with me. This stereo does not work right out of the box. I am disgusted. BestBuy says I need to deal with Sharp. I probably will not ever purchase from either company again.

Not impressed with the sound of the Sharp 5-Disc Micro System and the unit took up a lot of space. Returned it and bought a Bose Stereo which has excellent sound and takes up very little space.

I brought this for a Father Day gift two weeks before Father Day. The power never came on. Took it back to Best Buy to exchange they say it only last for 14 day to exchange most stores give customer 30 day to return a product but NO they didn't. It almost a month now and I just got the product ship back to the customer who made it. If a electronic or anything from Best Buy try it the day you buy it before leaving the store so you know it work.

Very disappointed with this product. It looked great and was great compact size but nothing on it worked. Only one FM station would tune in. None of the five cd disc changers would read a disc. Got error message on each one.

Ordered 4/12/2021. Received 4/14/2021. 5/12/2021 volume control didn't work on the remote or the knob and it stopped playing and issued a loud electronic sound. Turned it off and on again and it played. 5/15 /2021 the problem is repeated. 50 watts is no where near as as powerful as my LG TV or Bose radio. I sit out on my veranda and listen and so I need more volume. Requested a return on 5/15 and it was denied. "Past the return date". What, freak'n 30 day's!! I wonder if Best Buy knew of this models its DEFECT . I believe the model has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I WILL NEVER buy from this company again. "BUYER BEWARE!!!"
