This is a very comfortable earphones. Very light and weightless. Battery is good. Sound quality is not so good. You can barely hear the music if you go outside. The volume is not enough, im not sure ir maybe my unit is deffective.

There is also a phone setting that may resolve the low volume issue. -On the iPhone, go to Settings > Sound & Haptics > Headphone Safety, make sure that the Reduce Loud Audio Feature is switched off as this will affect the volume of the headphone. -On an Android, go to the Bluetooth Settings on the phone, find the headphone and make sure that the Absolute Volume feature is switched on for it. Would give zero stars if possible. Bought mid March 2024. Right earbud was crackly and felt like intermittent micro-zaps being delivered to my ear, which became progressively more frequent, and then, within 3 months it mostly stopped connecting/delivering sound. I didn't have time to deal with this, so just used the left one for a few more months. But in August 2024 I started trying to contact Shokz to see if they'd help. Terrible experience. "2 year warranty?" So far it's been a 3-month run-around of endless/useless email exchanges with "Leslie." But lo! Last el i received a Welcome email from "May" who is a "Customer Happiness-Maker" and suggests I long press both earbuds simultaneously, or, if that doesn't work, try resetting both the Shokz set, and my phone that I'm pairing them with! Shall I have another go round? Or just go to work and save up for another $200 earbud set, that might, HOPEFULLY, actually WORK?! Next one sure won't be made by Shokz!!!!

These earbuds are the most horrendous earbuds I've ever owned. I've only had them for 6 months and haven't had the pleasure of enjoying them in the slightest. When in their case, my phone still connects to them even after I've ensured they're secured in the case. The case shows it's green and fully charged, yet when I take the earpieces out of the case they're dead and unusable. I've ensured multiple times that they're secure in the case to see if that's why they're not charging, but still nothing. They're completely ineffective. I expect so much better from earbuds that cost this much. These were my first Shokz ever and I did my research before buying them and was very eager to use them for outdoor running. They've only ever worked once, and they were amazing, but since then they haven't been able to charge. I'm not sure if mine have a technical defect but I am so irritated that I spent this much and have had to keep using my AirPods as backup since these refuse to work. I've also spent the past six months trying to get in touch with someone at Shokz and Best Buy before writing this review, but haven't gotten a single response yet. Hoping to hear from someone soon.

1. Confirm whether the lid of charging case is closed: If the lid is not closed after put headphones into the case, the headphones will not be disconnected from the phone.
2. Try to use the latest version of the headphones firmware: Download the latest version of Shokz APP from app store, then connect the headphones and upgrade the firmware to the latest version.
3. Check the indicator light outside the box: If the indicator light outside the box is not on, it means the charging case is completely out of power. The headphones will not be disconnected when charging case is out of power, and you need to charge for case.
4. Check the charging contacts: Make sure the charging box contacts and headphones contacts are clean and dry? (If the contacts are dirty, it will affect the connection. You can use a dry cotton swab to wipe the contacts)
If the issue persists, please visit our Shokz website, click "Support" and "Warranty Claim" to begin processing a warranty claim. Please email our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Garbage. I purchased them to wear when I go jogging, because they stay put very well. The dynamic sound is somewhat lacking with the low-end bass, because they do not insert into the ear canal; but I felt it was a fair compromise for the secure fit. I use them about 4 hours per week. BUT: about a week ago, the speakers began to fizzle and fry. I put them back in the charger case, and they worked normally again, but only for about 15 minutes. Then they totally fried-out, sounding like blown speakers. For $250, this is total garbage!

Open the Shokz App and navigate to "Customize Controls."
Set to "No Action": Set the single touch to "no action" and customize the double/triple touch to something less sensitive, or set them to "none" entirely during winter runs.
Disable "Continuous Volume Adjustment": For the OpenFit Air, turn off "Continuous Volume Adjustment" in the app to prevent accidental volume spikes caused by fabric brushing the sensors. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any questions. Thank you!

i've had these for quite a while. while i enjoy the sound and the ability to hear surrounding clearly without using software passthrough; the devices just die in their case. half of the time i go to use these they're dead because they never shut off in the case. so not only are the ear buds dead but the case is dead as well. i've already had them replaced once for free but the new ones do the exact same thing. i've tried to move them around in the case and such and sometimes it just doesn't matter how they're in there they just don't disconnect and turn off. other than that i love these. if they ever update and fix i'll change my review.

Detailed review...I unfortunately have had an AWFUL experience with BOTH open fit headphones that i've owned. I purchased my first pair of open fits on July 15th, after a short two weeks I decided to exchange my headphones after having issues with the touch controls. Since Shokz has been in the sport headphone industry for several years, I was open to trying a second pair of open fits rather than simply returning mine for my money back. Fast forward to today and I have a list of problems with the second pair of headphones. First, these headphones are terrible for running because the touch controls do not work after the slightest bit of moisture or sweat gets on them. After mile 4 or 5 using my touch controls has become a gamble. The headphones often wont register the touch/tap. Or worse, they "get stuck" and keep registering commands like play/pause or volume up after I touch my headphones. Honestly, they have become more of a distraction than anything since I am battling with the controls for most my run. I also noticed that the headphones often dont unpair when I leave them in the case and close the lid. For example, I will try to listen to a song on my phone and realize my audio is paired to my headphones across my house. (Yes, they were on the connection points inside the case) This has happened several times in the last few weeks. Lastly, I have also had one of my headphones give out during a run. It seemed like it had water or sweat inside them because I could still hear the audio but it sounded muffled/muddy. That time, I removed my headphones and placed them back in the case for the remainder of my run. The sound quality is good but I am constantly having touch control and unpairing issues. I know the is a first generation product and some bugs are to be expected but this is way more significant.

It is very comfortable i forget to wearing it but downside for that I lost my right earbud after using few times and I did not notice when it fall off. I can not get replacement for the missing pair . it works without other pair but I am not happy loosing an expensive headphone not able to enjoy using both

Bought open box excellent and it was not. Part of the earpiece was floppy and the earbuds REEKED of cologne from the previous owner. Best Buy did not do a good job vetting this one.

Oh man where to start. My hope with these being over the ear fit would allow for better listening then a typical ear bud. Nope. So the best test I have for ear buds is to listen to the song Tears by health. On a set of Bose jogging ear buds, the bass is very rich and powerful. The bass helps adds atmosphere and depth to a song that would otherwise just be noise without it. With these earbuds, it's nothing. The speakers sound likey are on the verge of busting. There' literally nothing there. It's flat and tiny and is almost painful to listen to A song for higher ranges of audio is Storm by Brutus. Same deal and you can barely hear the lyrics. Tweaking settings with the shokz app doesn't regain any sound quality. How do you make an expensive set of ear buds sound so terrible? Also the fit is exceptionally poor and no more stable jogging than conventional ear buds. Stay as far away from these as you can. I can't promise what's the best for each individual but these have to be at the very bottom of the competition. I am so disappointed with these ear buds. I've had $20 throwaways sound better than these and offer better fitment around my ear.

Just opened these after 4 months. Worst headphones ever. They don’t slide in your ear. They fall off. You can’t workout in them. They are not loud. They have no bass. I wish I would have opened them sooner to return. Super disappointed. Way over priced for the quality of sound and how dysfunctional they are.

This is my third set of Shokz and unfortunately they disappointed. The sound was not very good and they did not fit right. I didn’t like that whey fit within the ear and not completely off like the other models. This also made them fall off easily. The tap function was too sensitive. I prefer the buttons on the other models. Also it had different function from one ear to the other which made it confusing which did what. Lastly, I had a pair of Dre beats and I loved using only one ear piece at a time. When I did that with these headphones, it just enhanced the above mentioned limitations. I went back to the regular shokz

Does not sit well in the ear. side to side movement they move. Sound quality in a quiet environment is good but in a loud environment you turn up the volume and battery life does not last over one or two hours depending on the volume setting.

Got the wrong item. When I opened the package I got the Shokz OpenFit Air instead of the Shokz OpenFit. I went to Best Buy and they couldn’t give me the item that I ordered just a refund or gift card -_- .

Horrible battery life! Not even a month old and they are dead if I leave off charger a few days. The case does not hold a charge, it will be at 100% and after one hour off the charge it is 90%. Then who knows how the earbuds themselves with no use drain to zero in just a few days. Very annoyed and disappointing to spend this much money and encounter dead earbuds when I need to use them!
