I wish these worked. Came from a 3 year old pair of Aftershokz Trek Air with 12 hours of daily use. "Upgraded" to Aeropex and while I found that they sound better and last longer on a single charge, I can't seem to get a pair that survives longer than a month. I've been through 4 pairs of these. First lasted a couple weeks, then started just shutting off randomly without warning. Second pair just stopped working entirely after about 1 month. Wouldn't power on, wouldn't charge (no light from charging indicator at all.) Third pair lasted 3 days before it died entirely, just like the last pair. On my 4th exchanged pair now. These aren't being used in any kind of extreme environment. They were never exposed to moisture of any kind. My pair of Trek Air lasted 3 years in the same environment as these are being used and were only replaced due to reduced battery life from expected wear and tear. And the worst part of this: despite Aftershokz knowing that this model is defective as evidenced by the FAQ on their own website with these exact issues saying to contact them for a warranty replacement, they are still selling these and expecting me to cover the shipping for their warranty replacement of a defective product. Such a disappointment.

The first wearing I had a very positive impression; light, good sound and volume, non-isolating. However, on the 2nd wearing, I stood up after watching TV for a couple of hours and almost fell over from loss of balance. My balance has been effected for a couple of days now. I suspect that the direction conduction, of whatever it is, to the inner ear without going passed the ear drum has caused some damage. I wonder what testing was done on these. I am hoping that the balance issue resolves in short order. Oh, and before you suggest that the volume was too high. It wasn't, in fact the TV says the volume was at 32 - 38 out of 100. WATCH OUT - THIN ICE - NO GUARD RAILS - NOT WORTH IT!

I purchased these on 2-14-21. The kept shutting off and disconnecting with my iPhone X. Instead of just returning them to Best Buy, I emailed Aftershokz. They sent me a new pair. Now, this pair does the exact same thing and I am past my 30 day return policy with Best Buy. And, Aftershokz has a 2 year warranty, so I can return them and they will send me a new pair. If 2 pair didn't work, I am not very hopeful that pair #3 will work. Best Buy doesn't have a direct phone number to the store I purchased them at. Aftershokz only has email, and I have asked about different reasons why they will not stay connected or powered up on with my phone, iPad or brand new Mac computer and the only response I get is "I can send you a new pair". I have a 7 year old LG Bluetooth set that works perfect with everything I have and a $159 pair of Aftershokz that don't stay connected for more than 10-15 minutes. Needless to say, I cannot even give these a rating. They do sound nice for the few minutes I can keep them connected. Just wished they would work.

I initially tried the openmove and disliked it, because you cant adjust the band that goes behind you head. The band was so big that the headphone would de-adjust if you had a jacket on. This one is much more comfy vs the openmove, but it has a different charger. Which is a huge thing for me. I want to have All USBC devices at home ebcause i got tired of having different variations of USB chargers. To top it off, the charger that came with this unit, was faulty. It would short any usb port that you plug it in to. I bought this headphones because i want to stop using BT devices that go IN your ear, i want to avoid infections. This one doesnt have that issue, but forget about noise cancelling and all that. I was avoiding conventional earbuds, but i forgot the main reason i loved earbuds was because of noise cancellation. Imagine going into the train station with this and you cant enjoy your own music because everything surround you interrupts it.

These things have the absolute worst battery life. Online says 8 hours but it's half that, at best. On my last "full charge" I managed to get a whole 1 hour out of them before they died. If you pull them off the charger before you want to use them it kills the battery. Pulled mine off the charger on Monday (said fully charged) but didnt try to use them until Tuesday afternoon and they were so dead they wouldn't even stay powered on. Turn on, says charge me, auto turn back off. Sound is good and I do like the way they fit for the most part but would never waste my money on these again.

Their latest headphones, the Aeropex, is definitely their best in terms of sound quality and innovation. Unfortunately, after 3 months it stopped working - it would not turn on even after charging. I've tried contacting customer support, but their website doesn't allow me to log in. I'm waiting for a response from an email I had to send. I've previously owned two other Aftershokz headphones, and they both stopped working, but I was able to get replacements via customer support. I was hoping their latest product would have resolved their past problems. Build quality is suspect.

Hi there- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear you're not completely satisfied with your OpenRun. We do have a mini size available, that may be a better fit for you. Our headphones are not hearing devices; however we do have customers who use them to assist with hearing, usually by pairing the headphones to their phone and accessing a hearing aid app like Petralex, Ear Spy, Ear Trumpet, or Hear You Now. These apps use the mic on the phone to pick up surrounding sound and transmit it through the headphones. If you decide these are not a good fir for you, we kindly ask that you reach out to BestBuy Customer Service directly to learn of their return policy. I had the trex titanium for a long time and the sound quality and battery life were my only complaints. So I was extremely happy when these came out because they were billed to have better sound and an 8 hour play time. I have tried them for 2 days in case the first day was a fluke and the battery life on 3/4 volume is a sad 3 to 4 hours and the sound quality to me is no different than the titanium. I love the fit and weight but they are definitely not worth 174 dollars after tax. I have a 10 dollar set from a big box stores that has better battery life and sound. I will be returning them as soon as possible and I'm done with the trex brand.

At first these were good and cool earbuds that allowed me to hear well. But every so often it would make weird popping sounds even if no audio was being played. I didn’t think much of it until today when they just stopped working. I tried turning them on and nothing, held the button down and no feedback. I then tried charging it and no charging indicator. DO NOT BUY

This is basically only good for listening to podcasts. You can't actually listen to music on these thing since there's only an ok amount of mids and legitimately NO bass. There's some beeping when you try and use the buttons on these and that ends up being way too loud so it's annoying to use them. I knew very quickly these are not good and I ended up returning them fairly soon.

[Employee of bestbuy] I really wanted to like these. I paired the to my phone and played some dubstep music, the device could not handle the bass and vibrated on my skin, yes know these are bone conducting. Had to take them back.

These sound great when playing music however every phone call was muffled and everyone kept asking me to repeat myself. I thought it was just a bad unit so I returned them and got the same model again. Had the same problem with both units so I ended up going back to the AIRs model and the problem was solved. The microphones in this model need something changed before I can recomend them to anyone.

In theory, these are awesome. Let’s you hear some music but can also hear ambient sound, all without disturbing anyone around you. In reality, you can’t really hear the music, ambient sound is muddled, and if you want to use it at a volume you can make out your music - then anyone around you WILL hear it. If you’re sitting in a quiet room, doing nothing, it’s kinda cool. In semi-noisy environments, it’s just disturbing.

Hello - Shokz here! We're sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your OpenRun. In this case, we'd suggest a manual reset of the headphones.
To reset your Shokz OpenRun, turn them off, then press and hold the Volume+ button to enter pairing mode (red/blue flashing light), then press and hold all three buttons (multifunction, Volume+, Volume-) for 3-5 seconds until you hear beeps/vibrations, then turn them off again to complete the factory reset, which clears pairing history and prepares them for new connections.
If the reset doesn't resolve the issues, all Shokz come with a 2-year warranty. Please reach out to us if you need further assistance. Thank you!

Save your money, these things have serious quality control issues. The one thing Bluetooth headphones should be able to do is STAY TURNED ON. Bought a pair and 2 days later they started turning themselves off sporadically. I exchanged them for another pair and I haven’t even gone a day with them and they’re having the same issue. I’ll be listening to music at my desk and the next thing I know it stops playing and my phone says no headphones are connected. I turn the headphones back on and I’m greeted again by the “Welcome to Aftershokz” message. These things would be amazing if not for this huge inconvenience. Not surprisingly, the Aftershokz has a section on their troubleshooting site dedicated to this issue where you can file a warranty claim, so this is evidently not an isolated issue with these.
