Is the GoPro shorty submersible? Is it ok for light snorkeling?
The Shorty has no electrical parts, so it can be taken underwater. It won't float the GoPro though, so you'll want to add a float attachment to the setup or make sure the camera is securely tethered just in case. Also, if you're going to use it in salt water, it's always a good idea to rinse it and the GoPro with fresh water afterward.
Will this survive a depth of 130 feet deep in the ocean?
The Shorty does not have any electronic components, so it can be used in deeper water. However, the Shorty does not add any buoyancy and it does not come with a wrist strap. For diving, check out the Handler. It may be a better option for how you want to use the mount.
