The Shun Classic Blonde 7-Piece Block Set brings five essential Classic Blonde knives together, the 8 in Chef's, 6 in Utility, 3.5 in Paring, 6.5 in Nakiri and 9 in Bread Knife, with the Shun 9 in Combination Honing Steel and an 8-slot birch kickstand block. The honing steel is the all-stainless Shun SS0790 (stainless steel handle, not PakkaWood) with smooth and micro-ribbed sides and a built-in angle guide. The birch hardwood block (color varies) holds up to six knives plus the honing steel and kitchen shears, so there is room to add a knife. The knives have a VG-MAX stainless steel core clad in 68 layers of stainless Damascus (34 per side) and edges sharpened to 16 degrees, with wide serrations on the bread knife. The D-shaped blonde PakkaWood handles are resin-impregnated hardwood that resists moisture, with a full composite tang and stainless steel end cap.
