A great early jump blues / R&B instrumental single originally released in 1954 on the Power Records tag, The Shytan's InchSavoy MamboInch b/w InchBMT ExpressInch features the excellant sax work of alto saxophonist Chester Dixon. The InchAInch side is a medium groove mambo cover of the Perez Prado composition that rolls along nicely, while the InchBInch side is a raucous up-tempo rocker featuring Dixon's wailing sax. The Shytans are the same group that backed The Harptones and other artists on the Bruce Records tag in the mid-1950s.
