Even I could use it!

I really got this machine for one specific purpose and that was to sew the (many) patches onto my kids scout shirts. I have hand sewed in the field while I was in the Army but never used a sewing machine before, so I went into the whole experience blind. I bent 2 needles and gummed up the bobbin thread a few times causing me to learn how to maintain that whole part of the machine in that first hour but that was mostly attributed to operator error and not how the machine is built. Singer has a whole library of how-to videos on their channel. The only thing I find occasionally frustrating now is using the automatic threader. I have no complaints with how this machine runs, especially with how I plan to use it. Its been 5 weeks and I've already sewn 13 patches and started doing basic repairs on kids clothes. This is a great machine for household or occasional use but I can see needing a beefier heavy duty machine if you intend to use it weekly or more.
