A: No, this unit does not play CDs.

Q: Can I download music from an iPhone or an IPad?
A: So you don't download music onto the speaker. It syncs by Bluetooth connection and will play what's on your device. I sync mine with iPad and iPhone both depending on where I am. I use mine 40 hours a week and it does well with battery life as well.
Q: What microphone is compatible as a second microphone? Do you offer a protection plan with this item?
A: Any microphone with a standard plug can work in the 4 external ports but to my knowledge only the OEM mics will work in the top slot.
