About This Item
Brand new 1/24 scale plastic model kit of the Porsche 956 (Skill 2) by Italeri. This kit comes in a brand new box and features real rubber tires, colorful decal artwork, a color instructions sheet, vintage style packaging, multiple options for number and driver decals, and parts molded in color unless otherwise indicated. It is an officially licensed product and requires paint and cement, which are not included. The model measures approximately 7.75 inches in length when assembled. The Porsche 956, built in 1982 to compete in the World Sport-Prototype Championship in the new Group C category, was a radical evolution from the Porsche 936 that achieved multiple victories between 1976 and 1981. To comply with new championship regulations, Porsche introduced several technical innovations in the 956, including advanced aerodynamic solutions and an aluminum monocoque chassis, powered by a reliable 2,650 cm³ 6-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 635 hp. The Porsche 956 proved to be an effective and successful sports car, winning multiple Sport-Prototype Championships and four editions of the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
