its great for people who want to block out voices of those around them, it makes you think you're in your own little world of imagination.

I bought it on 2016 Thanksgiving sale for only $100. It was very good for the price and has been solid for the one and half year service. However, the left joint just broke recently. I think it's really not designed for big heads. I felt it was very tight when I first start using it, and the left joint was finally broken after being used with over-limit stress for so long.

The base is incomparable. I love the fact that one can adjust the base to one's desire. The plastic around the ear is cheaply made and got broken, but I bought this headphone again and will purchase again.

Unboxing I was extremely surprised on how it was packaged. The outbox was typical however the plastic package was almost shrink wrapped which I doubt was supposed to be like that. That is why I gave it the 4 stars because it took me almost 20 minutes to open without hurting myself. Functionally, nowadays it’s pretty standard to connect to Bluetooth - very easy and straightforward. I played various genres of music to test sound quality and was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. It was crisp and the bass was literally pounding and at the same time clear. Voice was clear when I used it to wash a couple clips of movies on YouTube and reels on instagram. These are over the ear headphones, they are very comfortable. The quality is pretty solid for this price point. The controls were easy to find and control manually but if you want to further enhance or customize the sound you should download the Skullcandy app. Feel the BASS. Overall, if you are looking for a great sounding, comfortable over the ear headphones without breaking the bank I would highly recommend these.

SkullCandy Crusher 3.0 The Crusher 3.0 builds on a previous Crusher ANC release that I had the pleasure of reviewing several years ago to rave reviews. My emphasis then remains true on this update. These are just plain FUN !! Music seemingly comes alive with EXCITEMENT , and uber simple controls that anyone can enjoy seal the deal. This iteration refines the sound that made the original so great, while trimming some features that were likely overkill for their target audience. The top-end is much much cleaner than before, with punchy mid-bass, and as much bottom as you can tolerate. Most of my listening spanned audiophile playlists on Qobuz and Apple Music lossless, so I rarely slide the bass slider above 20-25%. There is a lot more dimensionality now, and far more articulate soundstage imaging. I came away far more impressed than expected for such an affordable pair of seemingly basic cans. I suspect that like many of us, these won’t be purchased for critical listening, but for ease of use. we just accept the default settings that dominate our listening experience, (at least until we actively decide to engage with sometimes complicated menus, EQ settings, etc. ) Well the SkullCandy Crusher Wireless implement this in an ingenious and forward thinking easy to operate … tactile access to control Bass with a simple left-hand slider to adjust on track without taking your eyes off task. Especially useful while on a playlist of various artists, some mixed hot and some with seemingly little to no bass. Operation is super intuitive, I snapped a pic of the Quick Start card (tiny text warning ) but didn’t need to even look and zoom. Simply place over your ears and experiment away; Basic usage left hand bass control slider right thumb + increases volume, - decreases volume, pause button (between those two) pairs, and turns on / off (press hold 4 sec) The same pause button also answers and hangs up calls, with a double tap to activate Siri or other voice assistant. Transport controls, + for 3 seconds is next track — for 3 seconds is previous track Unlike the older Crusher ANC, that then was seemingly pacing Sony and Bose in the noise cancellation race, these new Crusher 3.0 Wireless abandons use of the app entirely, perhaps to simplify for their intended user base, largely uninterested in fine tuning their listening experience. There are no Personal Sound hearing profiles, advanced EQ customization, or ANC tuning. Some may view this as a regression, though in practice it simplifies usage without complexity. If you like to tinker and like to fine tune, then check out SkullCandy Crusher ANC, ANC 2, or EVO which do use the app. During this review period I got to revisit some of my mixed-use cans, from gaming, wired and wireless, on-the-go, mixing and mastering, critical listening , etc. Sound is largely subjective, but I ranked what was handy to me as follows, from last to most favorite : (pictured left to right) Logitech g335 (wired, gaming) Lucid Sound LS-20, (wired, gaming) Skull Candy Crusher ANC (original) Alienware (gaming) ** Skull Candy Crusher 3.0 (review) ** Shure 50 (wireless) Apple airPodsPro Max (USB-C) Sennheiser HD-598 (wired) HiFiMan Edition XS planar magnetic (wired) PROS +compact +super simple +50 hour battery life !! +easy access Bass slider + transparent clean sound +sounds great with all types of music CONS -cups do not fold -no fine-tuning in app -limited battery feedback -other complaints on build quality and longevity CONCLUSION It depends on what you are in the market for. If you seek audiophile detail and accuracy with airy top end these are not it, nor would you find anything near this price range that is. But if you’re looking for FUN, Simple, non-complicated, with easy tactile access to the bass slider control without needing to open your phone then these Crusher 3.0 fit the bill in spades and sound phenomenal for the money. I was looking for an inexpensive set of bluetooth headphones primarily for fitness, and occasional use when watching TV. Initially I bought the Skullcandy Riff, but found the headband uncomfortable, and the sound a little flat. After sampling a few pairs in the store, I was blown away by the sound of the crushers, definitely the most powerful bass of any set, and probably the best sound south of $200. They are comfortable, pair easily, and the separate buttons and slider are easy to use. They basically have small subwoofer/shakers in addition to 40MM speakers, and while they might produce the most "precise" bass, it can go from "average" when turned off to mind numbing. They sound best with the slider around 25%, enough to deliver solid bass, but it compliments the mids and highs without overpowering them. The only real downside is that they are relatively large and heavy, although secure enough for a run, they get in the way with some excercises . The battery life is great, after a couple weeks at the gym, or around 15 hours of use, they are only down to 60-80% remaining. Provided you are aware of the size, are not looking for high-end sound reproduction, and just want a good simple set of headphones with a lot of bass for metal/hip-hop, these are great for the money.

I bought these after doing some research and listening to them at the store. I was torn between between the Sony XB950BT but they had too much bass and not enough mid and highs. I also tried the JBL Everest Elite but they were two weak for my liking. I then tried the Crusher wireless and they blew me away. They have great sound and and are comfortable to wear. One of my favorite features is the haptic bass slider. The highs are crisp and the mids bring the vocals to life. The battery life on these headphones is amazing. They are comfortable and fir great around the ear and feel good on your head. The side controls are easy to operate. Overall very happy with them. Great buy especially if you can buy them on sale for $99.

The sound and bass in these headphones are second to none. They are comfortable and hold a long charge. I'm just concerned because they seem to already becoming a little loose with only having used them a month. I feel like the durability is in question.

I was in the market for a new pair of headphones after my Beats failed me and I am not disappointed. The first thing I love is the fact that these have up to a 40 hour playtime and adjustable bass. I listen to a lot of different genres so this is important because sometimes all that bass is not needed. They are comfortable enough to where I don’t get that raw ear feeling after wearing them for hours. Another key point about these is you don’t have to go wireless. They come with an six cord that has an in-line mic in case you need or want to plug in. The only advice I’d give is to go with the darker pair. At first I had the creamy tan colored ones but I walk and sweat sometimes with them and was constantly having to clean the cuffs.

The main focus of these headphones is obviously bass. I haven't turned the haptic slider past 1/5th of max and it's plenty. The mids and highs aren't very crisp, but that's not why you're getting these. They are pretty comfortable after wearing them in. They are super tight at first, and I have a narrow head. Due to the tight seal they create, the passive noise cancelling is decent. I can't hear anything when I'm doing dishes. I have to keep one ear out to make sure my kids aren't getting into too much trouble. I don't think they're worth the $200 price, I got mine 50% off. But then again, I'm a cheapskate!

There is nothing like these headphones for bass lovers. I am completely spoiled with the bass quality of these headphones. Audiophiles need now apply though - if you're looking for fidelity then you need to look elsewhere. They're actually pretty good headphones throughout the spectrum, but you'll still get lots of bass where you probably don't want to hear it (classical, jazz, spoken word, podcasts, etc.) I like the ergonomics of these headphones. The over the ear design fits very well over my ears, and the controls are especially easy to use (+ and - shaped buttons make it very easy to immediately find the control you need without having to fumble around too much). I never feel like they're too heavy or that they're squeezing my head too much. I wear these things all over the place - while doing house work, while working, while walking, biking, air travel, etc. They work very well for noisy environments. There's no noise cancellation tech but the closed cup design helps to keep out a decent amount of ambient noise, even during a flight. The mic leaves a little bit to be desired. It doesn't cancel out ambient noise so if there's noise around you it gets picked up when you're using the mic. I've also had complaints that my voice sounds robotic and metallic when using this mic, so I've stopped using it altogether for work calls, opting instead for a Jabra Evolve2 65 headset for that purpose. But let's be honest - I didn't buy Crushers for voice calls, so I'll give 'em a pass on that criteria. I'm rating these a 4 rather than a 5 because of the durability. After regular use (around 1 year for me), the metal headband and the plastic connection point will loosen as cracks develop in the plastic, and they'll become so loose that they slide right off. The first pair I purchased was so loose I couldn't hold it together with tape, so I purchased another pair, and the same thing has happened with these. I was however able to salvage them using masking tape, but it's quite unsightly walking around like that so I switched to black electrical tape, which doesn't work as well since electrical tape stretches over time. I will probably purchase another pair soon because I can't imagine moving to another brand that doesn't have the haptic feedback. I really wish Skullcandy could do something about the durability issues, because these really are fantastic headphones.

This is my first pair of over the ears headphones Very comfortable excellent sound and connection, battery lasts forever. Mostly use it for noise cancellation (volleyball travel parent)

The bass makes you laugh because it tickles your ears and shakes your eyeballs. Absolutely astounding. Overall sound quality does not stack up to the Skullcandy Venue, but you don't buy these headphones for sound quality, you buy them for the bass. They are loud, comfortable, and can go about 2 days of heavy use without charging. With light use they last for weeks. Why 4 stars? The plastic that holds the earcup broke after only 6 months. Skullcandy replaced them with no questions asked, but I worry about the build quality since it's plastic.

I am a big fan of skullcandy, I originally had the skullcandy hesh wireless 2 headphones and loved them. After I gave them to my brother I decided to try some Sony headphone but did not love the feel of them. I bought these when they were on sale and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. I thought I would love the bass features more but I don't really use it that much. I do occasionally adjust it but for the most part they are just quality headphones. Skullcandy make great headphones and I would recommend them to anyone interested in solid wireless headphones but not looking to break the bank.

I love these headphones, great sound and volume. Adjustable bass is mind blasting almost literally. Looks good. Long lasting battery life. Call quality is pretty good. One con is sometimes once in a while the Bluetooth connection will act up and you may need to reset the headphones. I might upgrade soon. Overall skullcandy knows how to make very good products at a decent price.

Always used to Beats products, but if you’re a bass head, this is the way to go. Adjustable bass to fine tune your audio quality. Movies are more immersive wether from a tablet or phone. I’ve gone over a week with a full charge. If the battery dies, you can still use the included 3.5 mm adapter as long as you have the headphone jack on your device. Use it on my devices, as well as on Xbox one and PS4. Only downfall is that it doesn’t have noise cancelling.

Pros: Decent build quality and a long battery life. Don't expect huge quality built: Leather for example. They use cheap plastic and faux leather on top of the headband. As for the sound, you get what you paid for... These are good for bass lovers, and you can adjust the bass with the slider if you aren't crazy about it. Cons: The use of the control panel isn't that great. You can accidentally skip tracks.

I personally never had or wanted headphone(not counting the earbud that comes package in my smartphone) since they can't produce the bass like my dual 15" sub. So I finally decide to get skullcandy crusher since I heard they can produce subwoofer like bass. How I did not know about this headphone til 2020. Who knows. This headphone is so awesome initially that I also got the Crusher EVO. The EVO is even better, It's like night and day different. The EVO can play all the bass note and hits clean and hard. Mid and highs are way better too. 2016 Crusher seem to only sound good on certain bass note, but still not as good as EVO and is completely missing alot of low bass note. For example on a song, the EVO won't have any gap without bass while the 2016 Crusher bass will get quite for 5-6 second when the low note hits. I also only have my slider around 1/4 on EVO while I had to max out the 2016 crusher and wish it can go higher. Also the clamping of the old one is tight. EVO feels and look way better. If you can't afford the EVO, this is still way better then any other headphone. When it comes to bass I put the EVO at 100% While 2016 Crusher is at 40%. And every other headphone I heard before is 0%

The sound is awesome from these headphones. Fit snug on head so don't fall off but not so snug its bothersome. Battery amazing, they came charged and I haven't needed to charge them yet. I have noticed some cutting out / distortion when using the slider or control buttons but it stops when you get things set. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 otherwise it would have easily been a 5+
