The Targa Florio is a legendary endurance race held in Sicily, Italy, that was especially popular from the 1950s to the 1970s and even inspired the name of a Porsche roadster. In 1967, a Ford GT40 in the colors of Ford France came very close to victory, with Jean-Michel Giorgi and Henri Greder finishing second behind a Porsche.
