The product sounds great, that’s not the issue… the problem is with the condition of my supposedly “excellent” open box item. There’s an exposed super sticky adhesive strip that spans the entire base of the bar and it’s pulling up the finish on my TV stand. Not what I’d qualify as excellent condition, in fact I’d say it’s poor at best if it’s destroying my furniture. I’ve called customer service 4 times now and nobody can help. An expidited exchange was processed yesterday and as I was packing up the device to send it in for a replacement I saw ab email that the order had been canceled. After two 25+ minute calls with customer service they determined theres no replacement and the best they can do is return the item… I can’t get in touch with my local store because im consrantly re-routed to the call center and given the runaround. At this point I’ve given up on Best Buy customer service making this right and covered up the strip with some parchment paper. It’s an absolute joke you can spend so much money on a product and not get any assistance with your order. Don’t bother with open box on this one… you might be stuck whith a poor quality product

Im sure the Arc would have been amazing, but I wouldn't know because Best Buy sent me an empty box. On the plus side, it is a Sonos Arc box, so it's... really nice. That said, this is more of a review for Best Buy, not the Sonos Arc. After calling Best Buy Support, I was provided no satisfactory options. So disappointing. They seem unphased that one of their associates picked up an empty box (weighs leas than 3 pounds) and shipped it to a customer. They're completely unsympathetic, offering no accommodations outside of a cancellation and refund. They never even asked for proof. I recorded myself opening the box because I KNEW there was nothing inside, but they never even questioned it. Its a shame, but it's no wonder Amazon dominates the retail world. Anyway, if you want to get a free Sonos Arc (or any other item I suppose?), seems like all you need to do is place your order and then claim you received an empty box. They'll just believe you and offer a refund. What a joke. Do better, Best Buy.

I wish I could give a zero star review! Beware buying ANY open-box item from Best Buy! We bought the Sonos Arc for our outdoor pool house. Unfortunately (and through no control of ours) construction was significantly delayed by contractor and our return window expired before we installed the arc. Once we did attempt to install we discovered it would not connect to the TV. Through troubleshooting with Sonos direct we discovered the HDMI port was severely damaged right out of the box! Even though the item says excellent condition. Best Buy customer service was of zero help and could not careless. Extremely rude customer service. DO NOT BUY OPEN BOX FROM BEST BUY

I have had problems with since a week after I purchased it. The volume would automatically go down to muted/ no sound. I have had the geek squad out twice and asked for a replacement…. I’m being told that the Geek Squad Manager says I have to remove the unit myself and get it serviced. Unacceptable!!!

In order for you to access the music or whatever you want to play, you must not only download the app, but also connected to your Wi-Fi and hope that all systems are going …not to mention once you are on the systems is up, you can’t play music from YouTube. it has to be Spotify or Apple Music. This is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. almost $1000 to be severely limited restricted and frustrated worse investment ever please buy Sony or any other form of speakers on the market …LG, I don’t care…let Sonos never be an option. I wish that I could rate this product in the negatives!

I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with the Sonos Arc. Your feedback is valuable, and I'm here to help address your concerns and see if there's anything that can improve your experience. Within the app you can add any streaming service you would like to use and manage it all through the Sonos App. If you are using an Apple device you can also airplay directly to the Arc through the following steps. Steps to Stream YouTube Music Using AirPlay 2 (iOS)
Ensure your Sonos Arc and iOS device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Open the YouTube app on your iOS device and start playing a video or music.
Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen (on iPhones with Face ID) to access the Control Center.
Tap the AirPlay icon (a triangle with circles) and select your Sonos Arc from the list of available devices.
Again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience and frustration you've experienced. I hope this information helps improve your current setup.

It sounds very good, but not exceptional as would be expected at a $899 price point. Their eARC interface does not work well with my LG TV - the audio keeps cutting out. Since my Xbox Series X, Ultra HD Blu-ray player and streaming box all connect to the TV, I experience intermittent audio cut-offs on all devices! Everything is connected using "certified" HDMI 2.1 cables. I refuse to use a TOSLINK optical connection, as the audio quality would be reduced for Dolby Atmos content. These are all critical details when spending big money on a complete sound system. LG is a major brand of TV, yet Sonos failed to properly QA/QC their product to ensure proper integration with major TV manufacturers. Same issue when connecting to Samsung TVs, although it appears they have finally resolved their issue with that brand. This problem certainly devalued Sonos in my opinion. I spent over $3,000 on a complete Sonos sound system (with double subs) and have to deal with these terrible issues for months on end without resolution. And to add insult to injury, their Customer Support people blame the TV manufacturer! I do not recommend Sonos - they failed me and took my hard earned money. Do yourself a favor and do not end up like me.

First - BestBuy online experience very good. I do not fault BestBuy here. Now for the bad: The Sonos Arc will not work properly with a “new“ LG OLED (2019 and up despite having eARC HDMI connection) and AppleTV4K. The problem is the Sonos Arc. I wish I would have known this before purchasing. I thought in the clear having updated TV and updated AppleTV. Wrong. Sonos needs to do an update to allow it to work. Supposedly “in development” with a TBD release date. That should be clear ... and it’s not. So what happens is you spend a full day learning acronyms and tech info trying to figure out how to setup correctly thinking it was you and some setting wrong in the LG menu, AppleTV menu, or Sonos Arc app menu .... just to eventually learn it’s the Sonos Arc. Something about needing an LPCM update.. that’s enough to help you with the correct Google search. At first you will be frustrated after unpacking and setting up what you think is correct just to find out you cannot hear voices on Disney+ and Amazon Prime movies. Special effects and music only comes through. Then eventually, if you are lucky with the correct Google search (not easy or obvious by the way) that you must forgo any “Dolby Atmos” and force AppleTV4K to Dolby 5.1. Why is that a big deal? Because Dolby Atmos is WHY you spent the big bucks for THIS soundbar (whether you realized it or not). Dolby Atmos is what makes this soundbar sound like a home theater despite a single bar in front of the room. It makes sounds appear to come from the ceiling and the whole big deal about the 70 degree upwards pointed speakers in the soundbar and so forth. Without it - Very expensive waste. Just buy a cheaper run of mill soundbar. Because that is what you have with this without Dolby Atmos. So despite checking all boxes with eARC being a big one - it won’t work correctly. Lotta folks have LG OLED (C9, CX) and AppleTV4K... sorry gang ... avoid the Sonos arc.

As I settled in at 11 pm, tired from the day's heat, I anticipated a relaxing evening with my new Sonos sound system. Instead, I was greeted by sheer frustration. Here I am, a disgruntled customer, ensnared in the debacle of a malfunctioning application. Despite being within the grace period for returns, the situation is utterly intolerable. The app's failure to detect the system has rendered my $2,500 investment incapable of playing a single note or receiving any adjustments. It's all going back without a second thought. To the executives at Sonos, it's a travesty that our journey has to end this way. When operational, your equipment resonates with exceptional clarity, but your insistence on integrating it as a central component of the ecosystem has been your downfall. This 'pillar' you so proudly erected has toppled, crushing any semblance of consumer trust beneath its weight. In a final act of exasperation, I disclose that adding the Sonos Arc to my network was an exercise in futility, thanks to the app's ineptitude. The only solution was a direct Ethernet connection to my router, followed by a cumbersome update via the Sonos computer application. After which, I had to lug the equipment downstairs to reinstall. This ordeal is far beyond what should be expected of any customer, let alone my 86-year-old grandfather. As I bid farewell to Sonos, I'm left uncertain about my future audio choices, but one thing is crystal clear—it won't involve this brand. Farewell, Sonos.

Ordered the Arc with Best Buy and paid to have it delivered and setup. Also purchased a Samsung TV around the same time. The 1 star rating is for Best Buy customer service. The delivery and installation for the TV and Sonos Arc was cancelled 5 times. Each time it was cancelled the night before they were to deliver and install. I was promised monetary compensation for the inconvenience, probably in form of a gift card. After delivery they never contacted me about it. I stopped at the Mooresville Best Buy and spoke to the manager. He was going to check into it and call me later that day. He never called. Best Buy has a major problem with following through on their promises to customers. I will not purchase a product from Best Buy. I will purchase from a big box discount store and use a handy man to help with installation.

So unhappy with this purchase. This is our first sound bar, we've always had surround sound using a receiver. There is literally no way to sync the sound with the picture on the TV. We've tried adjusting the sync using the TV settings, and also tried adjusting the sync using the Sonos app. You think you have it pretty close so the sound and the lips of the people speaking, and then you change the channel or change the source, and nothing works. Having the sound not sync with the picture on the TV almost makes it unwatchable.

The sound was just as good as my TCL TV speakers that are built in basically. Definitely underwhelming for the price. Honestly what I was shown on display was the upgrade version and I thought that is what I was getting as an open box… I couldn’t pass up $500 for a soundbar that retails for $1100 but this one was less than $100 in savings. I returned it within a few days. Also you NEED a subwoofer! The app was easy to use

The bar stopped working and when I finally got an appointment to see what went wrong I was told that it would have to be sent back, I would have to pay the fright to send it and if they could fix it I would be responsible for the cost to get it back. I was with in the warranty time but had to wait for me to be told it was broken, because it took 5 days to get an appointment before the Geek squad told me it was shot, I missed the warranty by 1 day no one would honor the warranty what kind of company wouldn't honor their warranty when it was reported to be broken and in the time to have it inspected I missed by 1 day!!! Would not recmmend SONOS to my worst friend

Horrible connectivity. I couldn’t believe that such an expensive equipment was not Bluetooth compatible. I didn’t immediately return it because of the option to use Apple Air play however, the connection to Air play is just as bad as the Sonos app it constantly cuts out that you have to restart the app. Also the 1HDMI arc connection cuts out randomly as well. I give it 5 stars for the sound quality but for the price this equipment is not worth buying. Please save yourself a headache and buy anything but this expensive piece of garbage.

I am rating this with a 1 star because product was not available as a package as advertised. Purchased the Sonos Arc Soundbar and two SL One surrounds, however the subwoofer has been unavailable nationally and therefore we are unable to get the sound expected. All stores show it available on July 18, 2021, yet the last returnable date for the soundbar purchased is July 16, 2021 meaning we cannot test the entire system until after the expiration date for return on the Arch Soundbar. I would never recommend Sonos based on our experience. Also the Facebook page for Sonos shows so many people have connection problems, sound adjustment issues, and it seems more complicated than what most homeowners want to deal with. Sonos I hope you get your act together.

Upgraded my playbar to the arc, fully excited for dolby atmos support. I have the whole setup, 2 play 1's, and a subwoofer included. The arc sounds fantastic, but it constantly cuts out. I'm using a high speed eArc rated hdmi cable with the sonos arc plugged into a Sony Bravia A9G. Not a cheap setup. Geeksquad tech support told me that eArc is unreliable and I should just use an optical cable.. which does not support atmos. Whats the point then? The other option was to put a receiver in between the TV and soundbar. Pretty bad solution for such an expensive product when it removes the main feature and selling point. Geeksquad couldn't offer any other solutions and actually recommended that I return the product and just go back to my original playbar. What a shame.

Make sure you have an idea of what you are using with. I was trying to hook up my Dell laptop, Epson EX9240 1080p projector and Samsung TV and I not able to make the Sonos ARC soundbar work properly. I purchased a HDMI matrix, Arcana eARC converter and all 4k HDMI cables to try different combinations. After trying all kinds of combinations, here’s what worked and what didn’t. What worked with Sonos: Optical connection to the TV directly - the Sonos was synced with the TV remote through this connection and I could get the TV channels audio via Sonos. Sonos couldn’t produce sound from the outputs of the Bose Receiver. What did not work with Sonos: Connecting TV or projector with Sonos app or HDMI - I found that I will need a TV with ARC feature to make the Sonos work with my projector and laptop connections. Apparently I can’t bypass that feature of Sonos. So check the output of your TV, and if you don’t have ARC capability, this is not going to work for you. If your TV is over 5 years old, chances are you may not have the feature. It works perfectly well with smart phone using the app and love the sound quality with the songs I play from my phone. I gave 1 star because it didn’t work for my application, which was to connect to a 1080p projector and DELL laptop.

POOR sound for the price. I've heard boomboxes with better sound. Very poor bass....they must want you to buy that subwoofer. Almost non-existent stereo imaging. Poor clarity and presence. THE APP IS TERRIBLE. It was OK on the first app that I used for 2 days, then they forced an upgrade. Now, the TruePlay tool doesn't work. Additionally, the App can no longer work with Sirius "Sirius XM is incompatible with this device.” It worked before the upgrades started. I was so excited to buy the Sonos Arc for my family. But, this is the most disappointing music device I have ever bought. I have been playing music professionally for over 50 years....I know good sound. I know recordings....I've played on over 70 recording sessions. One recording won a Grammy…. This is not good sound, especially for $899. My 30-year-old stereo wasn’t expensive.....just decent components. But it was 10 times better than the Arc. Unfortunately, time and age has gotten to the speakers. I hoped this would be a decent replacement for the stereo..... Not comparable. Not even close. I do understand the technologies involved. I've spent hours trying every setting combination between the TV and the soundbar that I can find to improve the sound, I believe i've got it as good as it's gonna get, but it is just poor sound....not much better than the Sony Bravia TV speakers. Poor stereo. Non-existent bass. Poor clarity. My $400 Bose soundbar in the small bedroom is much better. Wish I had bought BOSE. Or even a matching Sony. This will be that only and the last Sonos product I ever buy. This is my experience. I’ve warned you. Don’t buy this with any expectations for good musical sound. If I had the money, I would throw this away and buy something else.

Not as advertised. Sound is good but the app is frustrating to say the least. The geek squad couldn’t get the app to recognize the system. Had to call Sonos customer support. An hour later, the got it to connect. All good for about an hour then the app lost the connection so had to redo the set up process. It connects, then looses the connections. Close the app and then it comes back. A few hours later, nothing. It’s random. Also, cant get Apple Music app to load sync with Sonos app.

Great sound, I really want to like them, but App makes them unusable and a huge point of frustration. I purchased the arc, sub, and 300’s (rear) and they sounded really good. Unfortunately the App released months ago causes them to constantly loose connection. It takes hours to return to factory reset, reinstall app, pair, trouble shoot. They never connect the first time and calling tech support adds another hour to your user experience. Pass and consider the alternatives - I wish I did.

I’m truly sorry to hear about the frustration you've experienced with your Sonos Arc setup. I understand how disheartening it can be to invest in a system that should bring joy and instead find yourself spending countless hours troubleshooting. It’s especially tough when you’re excited to enjoy your new audio setup, only to be met with connectivity issues that disrupt the experience.
To help you get things back on track, here are some steps you can try:
Update the Sonos App and Devices: Sometimes, the root of these problems lies in outdated software. Please ensure that both your Sonos app and all connected devices are running the latest updates, as these often contain important bug fixes.
Reboot Your Network and Devices: I recommend restarting your router, along with the Arc, Sub, and Era 300 speakers. Unplug each device for about 30 seconds, then plug them back in. This can often help re-establish stable connections.
Optimize Your Wi-Fi Network: If your Wi-Fi is struggling with multiple devices, try connecting your Arc directly to the router using an Ethernet cable. This can help reduce wireless interference. Additionally, you might consider moving your router to a more central location or ensuring fewer devices are connected to your network.
Factory Reset as a Last Resort: If nothing else works, performing a factory reset on the Arc, Sub, and Era 300 speakers might help. Please be aware that this will erase all settings, requiring you to set everything up again from scratch.
Contact Sonos Support: If you’re still encountering issues, reaching out to Sonos support might provide some relief. I know it’s frustrating to spend time on the phone or in chat, but sometimes they can offer solutions that aren't available through the app alone. If you decide to reach out we can be contacted at support.sonos.com
I genuinely hope these steps help resolve the issues you’ve been facing. You deserve to enjoy the incredible sound quality that Sonos is known for without the added stress, and we are here to support you in getting everything working smoothly again.
