You won’t hear the bass consistently throughout the whole song, since it has a very short phase signal. So, if certain parts of the song don’t “qualify” to be played through the sub, you simply won’t hear them — which is really annoying. I already spoke with one of the Sonos chat representatives, and their solution was to connect the system to the extender router. The main purpose of having a $2,000 modern wireless sound system is to minimize the number of cables needed. By the way, when the bass does play, it doesn’t sound any richer than Bose. Will turn it back.

This product was exceedingly difficult to connect to Sonos ARC through our Wi-Fi which includes the Rukus although Sub 4 was designed specifically for easy connection to the Ruckus. It took us two full days to do it, trying repeatedly all kinds of different ways popping up on our iPhone Sonos app. Also, we are disappointed with the improved quality of music when the Sub 4 was finally connected to the ARC. The Sub 4 improved the bass but not mid and high tones coming from the ARC soundbar.

Works well when it is working. Mine died after 18 months and couldn't be fixed. so i had to buy a new one. I thought Sonos was a good brand but it turns out they don't really stand by their product. I had to pay another $500 for a new one

Ended up returning the item. Not sure if the amp in it was dead. Literally had no bass and also had to put my ear right up to it to hear anything. I Get more bass out of my Sonos arc and was disappointed unfortunately. I do love Sonos products in general but this did not kick it

Not worth the price. If you are looking for a sub that will shake the walls and you can feel then this sub is not for you. It has decent base but not enough to tell its really there or worth the money.

It's alright. The main problem I have with it is that to update the software it always has to be unplugged, taken to a router, plugged into that. It is an often hours-long process to update it. And when it doesn't update the surround sound itself decides not to work. Sonos products are much more expensive than others so I expect a better user experience. I am likely going to return this product and all the Sonos products I bought with it because they just aren't worth the premium price.

Easy set up. Good bass once you crank it up through the app. Expensive for what it does

Worked great for 2 Days and will not connect now. Called Sonos Tech support and they tried to help, but were saying it had to do with the WIFI. Might have to return. Read reviews elsewhere before purchasing.

Marginal improvement in sound quality paired with Beam soundbar. I'm now thinking my money would have been better spent upgrading to the Arc.

unless something was missed in set up, by me or the tech, can't really hear it. I've tried big bass music, going back to calli and the like.

For a Sonos product i think this is the least value. The rest of the speakers are enough.

Why get this one for a little bit more you get the larger 1. The larger 1 has better sound and this 1 is more of a thumb.

based on the reviews i had higher expectations of this sub. It gives some base, sure, but not at all the richness, quality or depth i was expecting. Not sure how the reviews are this high. The rumble doesnt quite rumble but i should have known a 6 inch sub wont deliver.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the Sub Mini. We are sorry to hear that it didn't meet your expectations for sound richness and depth. It’s understandable to have higher hopes based on reviews, and we appreciate your honesty.
The Sub Mini is designed to enhance bass for various listening environments, but it may not deliver the same depth as larger subs, particularly in larger spaces. To improve your experience, you might consider adjusting the EQ settings through the Sonos app, which allows you to enhance bass levels and tailor the sound to your preferences.
If you’re still not satisfied, please know that your feedback is valuable, and we encourage you to reach out to our support team for further assistance or to discuss your options. Thank you for being a part of the Sonos community. Feel free to reach out at support.sonos.com
