We purchased this tv to replace the same product line of tv, but 3 years older and 20 inches smaller. We had a Sony 65X80J that was the fifth and final purchase after almost trying every 65in TV 3 years ago. We have always been pleased with it. Sony's Google interface was useful and responsive which made finding our shows convenient and easy. The NEW interface on the 85X80K is just as intuitive and as technology progressed, it's gotten faster. The picture on the X80 series is fantastic right out of the box. Before this purchase, we tried a 75in TCL and the 85X90K, but both of them has issues with upscaling and tuning the backlight/other features to prevent motion blur. Even after reviewing a professional setup guide, the other TVs could not offer the simple clarity and frequency response of the 85X80K. I'm very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this TV to anyone. No, it doesn't have the darkest blacks or the most zones of backlighting, but all of the "next level up" of picture quality have GLOSSY reflective screens. The 85X80K series has a much less reflective screen and more effective/useful brightness that accommodates use in brighter rooms. Again, we viewed a number of models in different stores (to compare light levels) and 3 different models in our home. This one wins hands down. The only area Sony didn't improve was the sound. The older model projects sound louder and more balanced, but it's not problematic. It's good. It's just not as good as the older model. I'll probably get a sound bar.

Everything is perfect quality and options. easy to program and configure to have everything to our satisfaction this TV is incredibly beautiful, BIG and slim!!! We received it in time to enjoy the classic Christmas movies and it has been the best purchase we have made lately at BESTBUY, the installers were extremely friendly, careful and very professional. I don't even need to go to the movies. I am at home, completely comfortable watching my favorite shows and taking the time to relax and enjoy this wonderful BIG SCREEN at a super price and quality!

I spent nearly six months researching 85” TVs before finally deciding to go with this one and so far, I am not disappointed. This TV is large and heavy, but was easily mounted by myself and my boyfriend in seconds once the mount was secured to the wall. The picture quality is excellent and we didn’t have any issues getting it set up straight out of the box. Another plus is we were able to have it delivered our home. We purchased this TV for a deal as it was Open Box (rated Excellent by the Geek Squad). Somehow, the remote was forgotten when it was delivered. I immediately called over the phone when I realized it was missing and the kind man on the phone said he could have the Geek Squad out to my home the following week with a new remote for free or I could visit my local store that day and they could do the same. I chose to visit my local store and simply let them know that the TV was delivered without a remote and they provided me with one, no questions asked within 5 minutes. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and am impressed by all the support we’ve received from Best Buy as we’ve been building our dream home theater!

I am absolutely blown away by this TV. It's easily the best one I've ever owned, packed with features I didn't even know were possible. Navigating with Google TV is incredibly smooth and intuitive. It even automatically adjusts settings when I put in a 4K DVD, which is a nice touch. One remote controls everything, and the combination of this TV and my Sony x800 4K player delivers a truly spectacular viewing experience. I can even watch all my live TV and local channels seamlessly through Google TV. Honestly, I can't imagine a better setup.

Really nice TV, good colors and brightness with a Really great sound. I have a highend sound system and almost never turn it on as the sound coming out of this TV is impressive.

Bang for your buck this has to be the best TV! I just had a superbowl party at the house and my guests were blown away… I understand that their are better TVs but for the size and price I don’t think it’s worth spending the extra money. I watched movies and sports in 4K and I feel like I’m at a movie theater. Sony is great and this TV is no different. Don’t settle for an off brand

I love Sony Televisions, this is my second one in 5 years. I decided to go big and was not disappointed. I did my research and this was the best option I. It’s price range. The 120 refresh is perfect for sports. Beautiful picture, it seems like the picture gets better as time goes by, maybe my eye though. Lol. I love this TV.

A decent TV - I bought this one instead of the X90L because they had it in stock and I was more interested in having one right away, plus the price was significantly less so I was willing to give it a try. I didn’t want a TV that wasn’t XR, so I regret not paying attention to that while I was in the store but I’m glad I gave it a chance. It’s not a bad TV at all, I always vote Sony, and if your priority is cost consciousness, it’s a good way to go without downgrading to another brand. The size is incredible, it’s my first time with an 85” - coming from a 65” in an apt to this in a decent sized home. I was almost convinced to go with the 77” OLED but the price was double and the size is smaller. But truly, I’m not happy with this TV because I wanted a higher quality main living room TV than the one I’ve had for the past several years and this seems to just be a larger version. I’m still contemplating switching to the OLED if the price drops (despite my concern about reducing in size from 85”) otherwise I’ll likely switch to the X90K and stay at 85”. Considering I’ve poured a decent amount of money into the Bose Surround (which works perfectly with this TV), my living room set and the house, I want the TV to provide a similar visual experience to match, but I don’t have an unlimited budget unfortunately. If your circumstances are like mine, I recommend probably focusing on one of the mid range models (or higher if your budget allows), otherwise, if you’re not much of a sensory person unlike me, you may not even notice the difference. Like I said, it’s a great TV. 3 years ago, I would have never given it a second thought.

Already have one expensive Sony but wanted a big screen in another room. Have bought nothing but Sony TV's since 1980 and have found them to be great TV's but at a considerable cost over other brands. This TV was a good value at a reasonable price. Not the top performer in the Sony line but good for watching sports and movies. Works great on cable and especially well with a DVD player

So perfect. It looks so huge but once it’s in front of you it’s seems normal… though it’s definitely an 85 Incher. Quality is amazing. I love that I can cast from my phone to the tv easily also. Set up is easy. 10/10

Wife said that I could buy this as a retirement gift for myself so I did. It does replace a 2020 Sony 75 inch model which was great but I wanted the newer technology, higher refresh rate, and of course, larger size. We mounted this one due to its size and absolutely love it. Video quality is amazing and I expect no problems out of it as all of my Sony products have always been great. Google Assistant set up took all of about two seconds to set up and works fine as well. not using the TV speakers as I am running it through a Sony STR 590 receiver with Klipsch speakers. Only additional comment that I would add is definitely follow mounting instructions and pre-wire hook up your TV before hanging as the tilt only wall mount makes it somewhat difficult to get back behind the TV.
