Sony - BRAVIA Theater Quad with 16 total speakers - Gray - Open Box - Fair

Hi AR! We appreciate your question. We're happy to clarify that information for you! The speakers for the BRAVIA Theater Quad are wireless for the audio signal, meaning you won't have any speaker cables running between the four units and the main control box. However, each of the four speakers, along with the main control box, needs to be plugged into an AC power outlet. Additional information is available at the link below. https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/2080/v1/en/contents/017_Connecting_to_the_AC_Outlet.html Thank you for making Sony part of your purchasing consideration! Best regards, Estefany

Hello, thanks for your question. No, you cannot add additional speakers beyond the ones that come with the system. The system is designed to work with the included speakers to create an immersive audio experience. However, you can add optional wireless subwoofer to the system (SA-SW3 or SA-SW5). With a revolutionary design that compliments your space, 16 total speakers and 360 Spatial Sound Mapping, any space becomes the movie theater with pin-point surround sound from every corner of the room. And get heart pounding bass with optional wireless subwoofer. ~Earl
