Simple and easy to install and connect to the tv (specially if it's a Sony tv). Surround sound is very good. Subwoofer is extremely powerful, you feel like you're in the movies (watch out if you have neighbors downstairs). Highly recommend!

The Sony BRAVIA Theater System 6 is an outstanding home-theater upgrade that delivers rich, immersive 5.1-channel surround sound with deep, powerful bass from the subwoofer. Dialogue is clear through the dedicated center speaker, and movies and sports feel far more engaging thanks to the surround speakers and Dolby Atmos/DTS:X compatibility. Setup was straightforward, and once running, the system fills the room with clean, cinematic audio that’s a huge improvement over TV speakers or basic soundbars. Excellent sound quality, strong bass, and great value make this system easy to recommend.

We have an open layout for our main floor, essentially a family space, dining room, and kitchen all in one with 12-14 ft ceilings. We used to have a hard time making out voice from the background noise, this system has helped resolve that issue. The base is pretty insane (in a good way). Only wish is that the speakers connected together via Bluetooth so we didn’t have to do as much cable management.

I picked up this beast for $499 on sale, and it has exceeded every expectation. It’s been almost a month, and I can confidently say this system is an absolute powerhouse. The sound quality is phenomenal. The bass is deep and impactful without being overwhelming, the clarity is crisp and detailed, and the two satellite speakers create a truly immersive surround experience. Whether I’m watching movies or listening to music, the audio feels rich, dynamic, and incredibly engaging. I did run into a small issue initially — my Sony Bravia TV had the audio output set to PCM by default, which prevented the system from delivering its full potential. Switching the setting to “Auto” (Send compressed audio without change) solved the problem instantly. After that adjustment, everything worked flawlessly. The Dolby Atmos experience has been outstanding. It genuinely feels like bringing a cinematic theater experience into my living room. At $499, this system is an exceptional value. Easily one of my best purchases — worth every penny.

For the price i wish it was cordless. Premium quality and sound. It has many customization features and controls on the app once paired. It had no issue with my hisense u7 tv. A dislike to me is when raising or lowering the volume it does not feel instant as it would without having a sound system, like a second delay for it to send the request.

Amazing, amazing, awe inspiring. This was my third choice when purchasing... and yet I'll never go back to anything that isn't Bravia. This system never goes above 70%volume and yet it sounds as if we're in a movie theater. It shakes the walls in my entire downstairs. This system is freaking awesome. Also the app makes things so simple. You can change EVERY setting right on your phone, no worrying about a slightly shaking hand throwing your current setting out of line. So simple and easy to use. The setup was also very easy- hang your speakers and use the QR code to get the app. Follow the directions to add your system and there you go. I got the 3 speakers and great sub with the recievers for under $900. Including the insurance for the next 4 years. That's a huge relief but also WHAT?! The system was like $699-i think? But either way it was an amazing deal and i will not only buy another when it comes, but i will and already have recommended this system. Thank you Best Buy

This sound system is like having a movie theatre in your home, the sound is powerful and precise. Now my partner and I get so excited to watch movies! Music sounds incredible as well, deep bass with pleasing highs and mids. The unboxing experience was wonderful everything was packed neatly and the you could feel the overall quality of the system, nothing felt too light or flimsy. The app works well and you can even change it from Dolby atmos to Dolby digital if need be, and you can adjust the satellite speakers and bass. The shopping experience was great as well the Best Buy team member helped us pick out speaker stands and played with the demo for us. Couldn’t be happier!

best sound bar ever bought. the sound bar connects with sub subwoofer, and the sub is connected via HDMI to the TV. the bass is deep and rumbling. Dolby Atmos is way better than expected. the sub is pretty heavy tho.

This sound system is the best I’ve ever owned! Has a great app that you can use to adjust its volume and speakers! It’s so clear and the bass goes hard!! My wife and I love it a lot!!

I walked into Best Buy and looking to buy a sound bar. The store associate told me about the Sony theater system 6 he told me how it will take my audio on my TV to another level and he never lied. I love the system and we’ll be buying another one for my bedroom.

Excellent sound - took some messing around with the app to get it just right, but it sounds awesome. We have an awkward room setup and not a traditional sound/speaker setup so I was skeptical that this would sound very good at all especially after using a stereo and speakers for many years. Setup was easy.

Great sound system if you want to turn your home into a movie theater.

Setting up this Sony surround sound system was pretty straightforward. The subwoofer is the main control unit. The TV and sound bar both connect to it through wired cables; HDMI for the TV and a dedicated proprietary hardwired cable for the soundbar. The rear speakers connect to it wirelessly through the wireless amp. The rear channels also use hardwired proprietary cables rather than traditional speaker wire. The only downside to this setup is it forces the subwoofer to remain relatively close to the soundbar and television, particularly when compared to a wireless subwoofer. In addition to an HDMI connection for the television, proprietary input for the soundbar, and power, the subwoofer also has an optical port, USB port, and 3.5mm audio port, all on the rear. The set also includes a pair of mounting brackets for positioning the soundbar over TV legs if necessary. After physically placing all the components, making all the subwoofer connections, and connecting the subwoofer and wireless rear channel amp to power, the system was ready for use. I then downloaded the Sony Bravia connect app on my smartphone and completed setup through the app. The app played test tones through the devices to verify the soundbar, subwoofer, and rear channel speakers were all properly connected. It did have a momentary issue locating the rear channel amp and speakers, but it was immediately resolved by pressing the link button on the amp, which the app instructed me to do as part of troubleshooting. At no point did I feel worried or that the system wouldn't work. Even with that very minor hiccup, if you can even call it a hiccup, I'd say setup went problem-free for the most part. Sound quality is top notch. I use the system in a bedroom and it sounds phenomenal. We were previously using a high-end stand alone soundbar with no rear speakers or dedicated subwoofer. This set made us realize just how hard it is to replicate true multi/channel surround sound through a single stand-alone soundbar. While the previous soundbar had outstanding sound in its own right, the different channels and effects of multiple placed speakers give this system a much more realistic theatrical sound quality. Television, movies, and console gaming all have rich immersive sounds that pull you into whatever is being watched or played. Ambient sounds like insects chittering, thunder cracking, explosions roaring in the distance, or people talking in the background have a realistic feel that makes us feel present in whatever environment we are seeing on screen or listening to. Different sounds can be distinctly heard with good clarity. The bass is deep with good resonance and room vibrating impact. The system is incredibly easy to operate during use. It powers on and off with the ARC enabled television and volume can be controlled through the television remote. There is a small remote included with the system, but between the TV remote and Bravia app, I seldom use it. There is also a night mode that offers clear decipherable dialog and very little loss of fidelity when playing at low volume. If you have a spouse like mine who constantly complains the TV is too loud even when the volume is under 10, that’s a much-needed relief. There is a ton to like about this system. It's loud, clear and has excellent surround sound. It's also user friendly enough for most to quickly setup and use. The main soundbar isn't too tall or long. It fits perfectly on the stand in front of the television without blocking anything. The rear speakers provide lengthy cords for easy placement in most rooms with space. The soundbar and/or rear channels can also be wall mounted if desired.

Wow this Sony System 6 was packed extremely well upon delivery. The box weighed 50 pounds so be ready to have help getting it in your house if you are a smaller person like me. Very impressed with how things inside were wrapped in white soft bags and well padded for protection. Immediately I knew this was going to be awesome! It was very easy to get setup by using the Bravia Connect Phone app which actually took me about 20 minutes after unwrapping the wires and getting things all plugged in. The subwoofer is one heavy piece of equipment and you will be plugging your power supply and the wireless amplifier into the back as well as the soundbar. I first had to download data to use it with the app and pairing was required. You need to set up the soundbar to play TV audio and check the HDMI connection. It asks if you can hear sound from each piece and when you do connect the rear speakers there is no order so you can connect either speaker to the left or right side on the wireless amplifier. Everything automatically connected and it has a very easy to use remote control. I used it on my newer Vizio TV with eArc and immediately noticed a fantastic sound output! It's great how you can change the volume independently on each rear speaker using the app which also offers a Night Mode, Sound Field, Voice Mode, Volume. The remote control has Input, Sound Field, Voice, Bass, Night, Mute, Volume and a Power button. On the app there is a MAIN/SUB mode and also a MAIN or SUB setting as well. Under SETTINGS in the app you'll find: Wireless Speaker Setting ~ Sound Settings ~ HDMI Settings ~ Bluetooth Settings ~ System Settings ~ Easy Initial Setup ~ Software Update ~ Support BOT ~ Help The unit turns off after 20 minutes of inactivity when this optional feature is chosen.You can also turn your system on from the app instead of the remote. There is a Dimmer where you can adjust the brightness of the display and indicator. On the app there are many things you can adjust to get the sound just the way you want. For the Sound Field type there's Sony/Vertical Surround Engine but you can also pick Dolby Speaker Virtualizer or DTS Virtual:X. There are several other sound settings available too. I really like the extensive information under HELP Q&A in case of questions. It has 5.1 10 channel total speakers including 60W subwoofer and rear speakers. Also the small square wireless 30W Amplifier which controls your rear speakers. It supports Dolby Atmos/DTS:X and believe me the sound is really immersive! I watched some films that absolutely fit the bill with this Sony system! Really blew me away! I heard things I NEVER heard before when just using the TV speakers. It can all be wall mounted too if you desire. I am so happy I ordered this! It's exceptional quality as most all Sony products are! Even though the rear speakers are wired, the wire is very thin and not that noticeable where I have them placed. For the price point it's well worth the purchase! Easy setup using the Bravia Connect phone app and you'll find it really makes watching TV or listening to music quite the experience! I am enjoying mine so much!!
