Customer Ratings & Reviews

This is a small camera with a lot of flexibility for its size. The quality of the photos is excellent. I prefer to shoot raw photos. This camera is great for travel when I want to take more professional photos than my phone is able to produce.

I’ve been looking for a great point and shoot for travels vs carrying around a heavy slr and lenses over a year and am glad I finally took the plunge with this one! Love it!! Images are sharp, clear, and the auto focus and eye detection are spot on and amazing! So easy, when I’m Out hiking or kayaking or just wanting pix of family, it takes the guesswork out of it all for me and gives great results. Better quality than my iPhone but still portable. I did buy the grip for it and highly recommend it to keep from dropping it. Great camera in a small package! I have not tried the video yet so I can’t speak for that as I wanted it mostly for stills.

Excellent equipment and great photos, its size its perfect

The best point-and-shoot camera. This is my second RX100 VII, and I highly recommend purchasing the four-year Geek Protection Plan. I accidentally dipped my first camera into the ocean, which rendered it unusable, so I had to buy another one. For my second camera, I purchased the four-year protection plan. I bought both cameras using a two-year, no-interest payment plan, which at the time of this review comes out to about $60 per month. It feels like free money.

Camera quality is amazing. The depth and richness in color is amazing. The price tag is a bit steep so if you aren’t 100% sure you’re ready for the investment, find a cheaper alternative.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this camera. I’m a photography but use this when I go out with friends and we all love the photos! Super crisp images and compact to carry in your bag!

The Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII 20.1-Megapixel Digital Camera, has met all my expectations. The image quality is absolutely stunning, with its high resolution and advanced image processing capabilities . The autofocus system works well and is lightning fast. The compact size of the camera makes it incredibly portable and convenient to carry around, One of the camera's best features is the versatile zoom and macro capabilities and 4k video capabilities. Overall, the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII is an outstanding digital camera that delivers professional-level performance in a compact package.

A great little camera, especially for portraits. The flash is surprisingly good and makes a big difference in low-light situations. The zoom is also pretty impressive for such a compact camera, and the colors come out really vibrant and beautiful. easy to carry around, but still takes really high quality photos. Overall, I’m really happy with it, would recommend

I upgraded from the "first" model RX100 and this, of course, is just in another world. The zoom length, focusing, color output, and speed is fantastic. In my opinion, this is the best of these cameras and they do hold their value well. The capabilities for such a small, pocketable camera are amazing. The reviews tell the whole story for this camera. The only "issue", which would be relevant to any of these types/size cameras, is keeping it steady while shooting. Because of its small size and weight, it is hard to get a stable grip for hand-held shots, especially when zoomed out. There is a small grip available that can be attached to the front which drastically helps to hold on to the small camera.

This pocket sized camera is phenomenal. The picture quality is superb with so many features. Highly recommend.

It is good for business. Very conpact and pretty good battery life. I am pleased with the photos quality.

This camera has everything you would want in a point and shoot plus so much more. Easily fits in pocket or purse. Has automatic and manual settings that allow for artistic shots. Fast and accurate auto focus and frames per second. Zoom out to 200mm. Awesome. Only thing is no grip and easy to hit the video button.

The Sony RX100 VII stands out for delivering exceptional performance in a truly pocket-sized camera. Its insanely fast autofocus with real-time tracking and Eye AF makes it one of the best compact cameras for action, sports, and candid shots. The versatile 24–200mm zoom lens, sharp 20.1MP sensor, and high-quality 4K video with a mic input make it a powerhouse for travel, everyday photography, and content creation—all without carrying extra gear.

I was needing something smaller to carry around all day. I have always had a large camera and multiple lenses, but I got tired of lugging all that equipment around all day at a theme park. The size and photo quality are excellent. It was actually almost too small to fit well in my hand, but I found a custom sized grip to attach to it on amazon and now it fits perfectly. A little pricey, but it is rated as the best camera of it's size.

Sony RX100 VII is a highly capable, pocket-sized camera with excellent autofocus, fast shooting speeds, and great image quality, ideal for travel and action photography. Best Overall Performance: The Sony RX100 VII offers 20fps RAW shooting, continuous autofocus, and no screen blackout, rivaling high-end cameras for fast action. Its compact size and 24-200mm lens make it an almost perfect travel camera with manual controls and advanced autofocus.

Decent camera. Well rounded design. _____ Needed more compact design and ultimately choose "DSC-RX0 m2" (trade-off were: ZERO battery life, screen touch response is glitchy)

I normally use high-end DSLR camera to take pictures. The problem is I need to carry the camera along with one or two lenses which are weighty. This camera is small to carry around and takes amazing pictures. It also has option of choosing the camera setting if one wants. It takes amazing pictures and also shoots 4K videos. Best to take family pictures such as sports. The only thing missing is Sony failed to include printed manual (has it online).

Great pics, a bit of a learning curve but auto itself works great.

Super happy with this camera. Photos are clear and sharp, it’s easy to use, and perfect to bring on trips. Definitely worth it!

I want to give it 5 stars. Sony quality camera - feels familiar if you have a Sony and takes great photos. It’s not a toy - it can truly take great photos. Don’t be fooled as quality optics on 20 Mpixels makes a good photo. One of my biggest gripes (why 4 stars) is the connector. Uses an old usb style connector. I really want to see an upgrade to USBC this decade so we can connect it to our other stuff. Otherwise, I love that I can throw this in my pocket and take it to any concert venue around town without question.
