Hi Andy,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the temperature of the neckband has made your experience uncomfortable.
We would like to clarify that according to the official Sony HT-AN7 Help Guide, it is expected for the device to generate some warmth during use. The guide states: "If you use this neckband speaker for a long time, the temperature of this neckband speaker may rise, but it is not a malfunction."
Precautions:
https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/7861/v1/en/contents/TP1001309044.html
To ensure the device stays as cool as possible during your movie or gaming sessions, we recommend the following:
- Do not use the device while it is charging: Charging the battery creates additional internal heat. For the best comfort and battery longevity, please unplug the device before wearing it.
- Environment: Ensure the device isn't covered by heavy clothing or blankets while in use, as this can trap heat against your neck.
While a moderate rise in temperature is normal for this high-performance audio hardware, the device should never become "painfully" or "extremely" hot to the touch. If you feel the heat level is excessive or if the device is shutting down prematurely, we recommend reaching out to our technical support team for a professional review:

Thank you for considering Sony!

Echoing is annoying when playing tv speaker with neck speaker

Hi Tobi,
We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the neckband speaker. Due to the characteristics of Bluetooth wireless technology, audio/music playback on the neckband speaker is slightly delayed in comparison to the playback on the source Bluetooth device. We can still perform some troubleshooting steps to further isolate and hopefully resolve this issue:
-Disconnect and reconnect the neckband speaker to your TV:
https://helpguide.sony.net/ht/7861/v1/en/contents/TP1001309093.html
-Install the latest software version of the TV and the Neckband Speaker to improve their performance.
-Keep the neckband speaker away from a device, such as a radio or a tuner, a wireless LAN device, microwave oven or a device that generates electromagnetic radiation. Use of the neckband speaker in the vicinity of such a device may cause noise in audio from the device.
-Make sure there are no obstacles such as a person, metal, or wall between the neckband speaker and your TV.
As an alternative to Bluetooth connection, you can use wired connection (via the supplied audio cable) if your TV has a dedicated headphone jack and the ability to listen to TV speakers and headphones at the same time. Please refer to the specifications of your TV.

Hello bquarf, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that the BRAVIA HT-AN7 did not meet your expectations. This is not the experience we aim to deliver with our products.
We designed this speaker to provide a personalized, immersive sound experience for those who want to feel the audio around them without wearing traditional headphones. We understand, however, that a traditional Bluetooth headset may be a better fit for some listeners, and we appreciate your honest feedback.
We are always working to improve our products and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
Thanks for choosing Sony!

Was not impressed with sound quality. I paired this with a Sony Bravia 7. It looks better than how it sounds. Quite clunky compared to a traditional set of headphones.

Hi Ramirezjose. We're sorry to hear that you've been encountering this issue with your HTAN7 that they would keep disconnecting and falling down, this is not the experience we want you to have. Kindly suggesting to make sure the HTAN7 is placed on a stable and level surface. Avoid surfaces that are prone to vibrations or movement. You might also try: checking if there's a software update available for the HTA-N7 and whether it addresses Bluetooth connectivity problems. Ensuring that the Bluetooth drivers or patches are up-to-date. Disabling any power-saving modes that might affect Bluetooth functionality. Thanks for choosing Sony. -Milton <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/Sony_US.jpg" alt="Sony_US" title="Sony_US" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />
