Pros, reasonably priced, multiple ways of connectivity, decent sound for the price, links up to my Xfinity remote. The need to knows, no display to show the volume, no app to adjust the sound, it’s done by choosing one of the 6 modes. Sometimes it turns on in mute and you have to click the volume once for the sound to come on. I understand the mute issue is a factor of the TV connecting slower than the sound bar. This unit comes with an optical cable but not a HDMI cable. This sound bar sounds better the louder you turn it up, it’s probably better for a larger room to take full advantage of the sound quality. Linking it to my Xfinity remote was not as straight forward as they instruct, you need to find a YouTube video to do it but it’s easy. Oddly the signal to the sound bar interferes with my LED tv backlights and randomly turns them on blinking. I had to unplug the LEDs. Overall, I do like it and I would recommend it! Nothing that I listed as a con should discourage you from loving it.

Pros: This speaker sounds great!(I bought it for my Sony Smart TV and it's great fit for it.) Why not try it on high volume? I have watched a few movies & a lot of anime etc. every since I received it and the volume sounds great for all of them. There's no bad sound or anything like that coming from it. I know this speaker is 120 watts and the Smart TV I have, have less watts than it so that should do it well with that speaker. Even though the Smart TV sounds good as well, this speaker is worth it for louder sounds. Enjoy your movies with this speaker because it's easy to use. It comes with a remote control to use volume(up & down), to turn it off, with features like input, night, music, cinema, voice, auto sound, standard, fast forward, rewind, play & pause. You can control the speaker with the Sony Smart TV controller when it's plugged in to the TV. No problem. Now with all the good of this Sony speaker there's a problem which it's no surprise. I bought the speaker and when it came and I was home the whole time and someone stole it. I talked to the customer care and they believed me and cared so they was able to refund me for the speaker and today I have it because of them. I ordered another one as soon as possible and was able to pick it up in store near by instead of delivery and everything was good. Cons: I haven't found out any since I don't think their will be any. Everything was working fine and the instruction was good. So HDMI is what you use to get the sound on the speaker and the other one that you get from buying the speaker. Do have a extra or buy a HDMI for this speaker. Thanks BestBuy and Sony!

Sound bar sounds great, was easy to set up and size is great. Mounted it above the TV due to location and space. This unit has plenty of volume capability for our Studio as part timers.

I needed a sound bar for a 42 inch Insignia "non-smart" TV with a bit of volume and clarity in the mid- to upper-frequencies, that is as wide as possible without exceeding the width of the TV. It will eventually be used for a kitchen environment, but more immediately as a remote A/V unit to display a slideshow and play background music in a backyard setting. It will be plenty loud enough for background music, but I will be using a small subwoofer for the outdoor event. . When I bought this unit, I also needed to buy a mounting bracket to host the soundbar with the TV when I mount it on the swinging wall bracket I will use in its final mounting place. . If I were not looking for a higher wattage, I might consider the Insignia NS-SB21, which only rates 40 Watts... compared to this Sony HTS100F (120 Watts). It also has a small subwoofer, which I'd be hard-pressed to find a place for in my usage. I am seeing other soundbars than when I made my purchase that I might have considered.

I needed better ‘hearing’ with my TV without having to blast the volume or use headphones for hours when binge-ing. This Sony soundbar really works well, sound is good and reasonable now, and the Best Buy price was decent. I chose it because of its size, ease of use, price, and it’s a Sony since my TV is a Sony, never had problems (knock on wood)!

I recently purchased the Sony HTS100F 2.0 Channel Soundbar, and while it has some good features, I found it to be a bit underwhelming in terms of bass performance. First off, the design is sleek and modern, fitting nicely with my TV setup. Setting it up was a breeze, and the soundbar connected easily to my devices. The overall sound quality is decent for dialogue and general audio, making it suitable for movies and TV shows. However, when it comes to bass, I have to say it’s below average. I was expecting a more immersive experience, especially when watching action films or listening to music with heavy bass lines. The bass lacks depth and punch, which can be disappointing if you're looking for that booming sound that really brings content to life.

The Sonos Bean Gen2 turned out to be perfect for my small room. Sound is excellent even without rear speakers (any speakers actually). I had an Apple HomePod mini with works with the soundbar - I hadn’t planned that. Well worth the money and I probably will get Sonos speakers eventually.

This provides rattling level sound of very high quality. Other systems we have tried come nowhere close to its range of high to low sounds nor a volume range that moves the furniture to hearinghearing the proverbial pin drop! We find it capable of producing too loud a sound and even find ourselves having to be extra cautious for little guys and seniors who’ve been frighted not only by the auditory aspects of the system but the shockingly intense vibrations. Use this excellent product with care & caution!

This Sony HTS100F soundbar is a great improvement over the factory television sound. It will not blow the windows out of your home but it will let you feel the music or action. It can be connected using the short optical cable included or using an HDMI cable (not included) attached to the ARC HDMI port on television which allows the included remote or the television remote control volume. You can also connect via Bluetooth for tablets, phones, or other electronics. This soundbar is a great investment considering the reasonable cost.

I purchased this soundbar open box and it came basically brand new! No dings, dents, or missing items. The sound is clear and loud, while it does lack in bass there is a few audio options that allow you to get around this. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a quality sound bar on a budget.

The soundbar sounds good, has good base for the price i use it in my bedroom so I really don’t need much there but i can enjoy a good movie with decent sound now, my only complain its that the soundbar had a dent on one side i didn’t returned it cause i live far from bestbuy, the bar was cheap and had no sound issues.

I give this sound bar 5 stars because it was easy to install and I can now hear the TV on 34, not the 85 I would have normally had to turn it up to bc the tv speakers are located on the sides. I’m gonna buy a second one for my home tv! This one fits great in our bus.

It's in my office. I don't live without a sound bar. Five stars for being sleek, simple, and effective. The sound quality is excellent for a 2.0 system, offering a great balance of music and clear effects. It's a massive improvement over my TV speakers, and the Bluetooth connectivity is seamless for streaming music from my phone. It's a top-notch, hassle-free audio solution."

I bought this for use on my condo's lanai (I'm in Florida) so I can watch TV or listen to music using my phone apps. I did not want a soundbar with a subwoofer, as it would be a bit much for the neighbors. This soundbar exceeded my expectations for voice quality for the TV and for music quality. It's a bit lite on the bass, but I knew it would be. Perfect for my use. No more "beer can" speakers needed, and outward facing speakers for TV. Easy to mount with the TV, and easy set up with my Sony TV and an eARC/ARC cable.
