This thing is longer than the standard...battery and my wife was impressed...with the battery life. It added more time for recording. I too was amazed that even though it is eye catching, it allows me to record with having to change batteries. Highly recommended for those long sports game recordings on one charge. Pair with a decent size SD card and you got everything you need for your camcorder.

I have three Sony Pro Cam HXR NX30 camcorders I use for my videography work and need to have extended recording capability, often shooting lengthy events. The Sony Info-LITHIUM NPF100 provides exceptional battery life. I have been using this model for several years. It's dependable and I consider it a "must have"! I highly recommend it.
