The sound is very clear & they connect fast. I have tried multiple brands of earbuds in a wide range of sizes (my ear canals are sensitive and on the small side) and never been satisfied with the fit until I bought these.

These are great for a budget the active noise canceling is good enough. The pros is if you have a Sony Xperia phone the seamless integration is really cool. On the side sense you can see the Sony WF-7OON, on the information displaying like sitting and moving with adjusting the equalizer. These are very light earbuds compared to Sony flagship models that were very heavy and felt like they would fall off my ears. The active noise canceling does not provide good aware mode so often I cannot hear my colleagues talking to me or when I am driving my car I cannot hear the flow of traffic, I need some good earbuds that offer a way to adapt to local surroundings. What are the cons on these earbuds are the battery case life capacity is 12 hours. Not very long in the earbuds world. I was surprised to see that the case has depleted it reserves after me using these earbuds for 2 days in a work environment of about 4 hours per day.

Excellent sound that are five star worthy, but these are held back by the ear tips they come with. Uncomfortable and aren't secure at all if you've got small ear canals like me. If you replace them (I went with comply), the sound quality at this price point is easily top tier. These are especially good because of Sony's excellent headphones app, that let's you EQ just how you like. Oh and I love the color!

All in all these are really good earbuds, Sony always does a pretty good job. Got to say though, I bought my son a pair of Sennheiser momentum 3.... And after I heard them I was kind of jealous the base was so punchy and the mids and the highs showed through. Are they worth twice the price? Yes if you're a bass head. If you're not a bass head maybe not so much.

This is a DECENT pair of headphones ear buds considering the price. They work well indoors when on the phone, outside not so great. The noise canceling feature is fickle. I like the add ins that come with the device: the different size ear buds cushions, small USB cord, and charging case. Sound quality for music is great and it’s adequate for hands free. 4 out of 5 hands down.

For the price the sound quality is amazing as well as the noise cancellation. However, the right earbud does not fit into my right ear canal and is uncomfortable. This could be just because my ear is shaped weird, but it still hurts my enjoyment of the product.

Hi Ash01163,
While we're glad that you like most of the features, especially the incredible audio, we're sorry you've been running into difficultly. The WF-C700N may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if you don't wear the earbuds properly or the earbud tips are not correct for your ears. To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The most suitable size of the earbud tips for left and right ears may be different. When wearing them, gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal. For instructions on how to wear the headset, please visit this link.

The Sony WF-C700N earbuds with noise canceling deliver good performance for the price. I have them in sage color that is soft on the eyes and gives them a more modern look. Setup requires downloading the Sony earphones app. Instructions are easy to follow and Bluetooth connection was problem free. The app is easy to navigate. Lots of options to configure the sound with an equalizer and other digital sound processes, and to customize the buttons. I quickly felt comfortable navigating the app and customizing the earbuds to my liking. The case is rechargeable through a usb-c connection; no wireless charging is offered. You can monitor the charge on the app. It charges the earbuds quickly. From my experience, I was able to do about five full charges of the earbuds when they were running very low. The earbuds sound really good for the price. I own some high-end earphones and they come close; the highs are clear and not too straining, the mids are not too present and the bass is solid. I also listen to podcasts and they reproduce the vocals quite well. The noise canceling feature works great and mutes the outside distraction effectively. I use them more at work and wear them most of my workdays. I play different kinds of music and podcasts at 60% volume between 5 to 6 hours at a time. The batteries handle that easily; I usually have about 25-30% of charge left after those marathon sessions. They’re light and sit well outside the ear canal and are comfortable to wear for long hours. Those are regular earbuds and not made for exercise. They sit tight in your ear but they will fall off if you keep moving your head abruptly. Overall, the sound performance is solid. The only gripe I have is that they require registration and music streaming subscription to take advantage of the Sony 360 Reality Audio. Music streaming such as Amazon Music and Tidal are compatible with the 360 Reality Audio. My subscribed music streamer does not support it unfortunately and I’m not able to experience it for now. To conclude, I will say that besides not being able to exploit the full capabilities of those earbuds, I’m impressed with their sound quality, battery and noise canceling performances. I would describe the Sony WF-C700N earbuds as mid level earphones at an accessible price that deliver close to high end performance.

I got these Sony headphones about a week ago and have been testing them since then. I primarily got these since I had lost my previous workout headphones. I usually don’t get the earbuds since they tend to fall out when I workout, but thought I would give them a try. My previous headphones had an ear loop to ensure they stayed in place while working out. Despite these being earbuds, they stayed in place very well, though I did have to push them back in from time to time…usually after doing fast motions like jumping. The buds come with multiple silicone tip sizes so I tested out multiple sizes until I found one that was comfortable and stayed in place pretty well. What I was really impressed with for these earbuds was the noise canceling. I really wasn’t expecting them to work as well as it did. The first time I tried the earbuds was while watching tv in the background. I had forgotten about the active noise canceling (ANC) until I put them in and couldn’t hear the tv any longer. Wow! Best noise canceling headphones I’ve ever used. I usually use over the ear ANC whenever I fly (which is just about every week) and these worked better than those high dollar headphones. I tested them on my last flight and was really impressed. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is that I could not get them to connect to the app (connected to phone without a problem). I tried multiple times, deleting then reloading the app, resetting the earbuds, restarting the phone, etc. I searched online for a solution and tried multiple ideas with nothing working. I kept getting an error that said “Cannot connect to YY2968. Check that the power of the device is on.” That was really the only downside to these headphones and they work fine without the app. These Sony earbuds exceeded my expectations for comfort, ANC, and staying in place for most workouts. I recommend these earbuds highly, especially if I can figure out how to get the app to connect to the buds.

I have rotten luck with earbuds. Wired, wireless…doesn’t matter. My ear canals must be smaller than the average person’s because earbuds don’t stay in my ears. The last pair that I purchased, the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, are by far my favorite pair up to this point. The gorgeous violet color is what attracted me to them, and they perform well. However, they constantly fall out of my ears. If any earbud falls out of your ears, they are useless, no matter how pretty they are. The Sony WF-C700N are more utilitarian in looks, however these earbuds have so many features that I don’t know where to begin. The first thing for me was…they STAY IN MY EARS! I was shocked. I tested them while walking in a mass merchandise store, listening to my phone. I had no issues with the bud(s) slipping out of my ears while moving (not only walking, but reaching for items on shelves, reaching down into the cart, etc.). That’s only scratching the surface on these earbuds. They are compact, so they fit easily in my purse. Because the case is oblong vs. square like my Samsung buds’ case is, it fits better in small purses. I had issues with the initial setup, though. I followed the instructions, but the Headphones app was not sensing the buds for some reason. I tried to connect via Bluetooth and the phone didn’t read the buds that way, either. There wasn’t really anything for me to do differently, as they go into pairing mode when the buds were removed from the case. I ended up having to restart my phone for it to finally sync. Once I had the app working, I found that it was full of features. The app will sense what environment you are in and adjust the sound quality accordingly. My environment seemed to always default to Ambient Sound. You can also have the app analyze your ear shape to have the earbuds perform customized to your ear. However, you can only use this feature with certain pre-approved apps. The only app I had heard of was Tidal, and I’m not a subscriber to that service. I tried using the 360 Reality Audio app to analyze my ears. The analysis was completed; the 360 app, though, is for live audio. It asks you to put in ticket codes, which I didn’t have. I was able to try listening to a free music video on the 360 app for testing. The sound was good, but I didn’t notice anything that would lead me to believe that the sound was “tailored” to my specific ear type. I could go on, but this would be less of a review and more of an essay. If you are a basic user, these are a great pair of earbuds. If you are more of an audiophile, then you will have many features to tweak your experience.

I’ve been using the Sony WF-C700N earbuds for almost a year now and they’ve become my daily driver at work. They are dependable, have a reasonable Bluetooth range, and switching between my phone and work laptop is quick and easy. The fit is very comfortable, and even after wearing them all day, my ears never feel sore. I haven’t really used the Sony app for customization, but even out of the box they sound great. I use them all day for music, podcasts, and work calls on Zoom or Teams. The only issue I’ve run into is that the microphone doesn’t work unless I switch to hands-free mode, which lowers the sound quality. I know that is common with a lot of earbuds, but at this price I expected it to be a bit better. Battery life is excellent and easily lasts through a full workday. I also like the physical button controls on the sides instead of touch sensors. Overall, these are reliable earbuds with good noise canceling, clear sound, and solid performance for the price.

Sony hit is out of the park again with the WF-C700N Wireless Noise Canceling Ear Buds! I've been a life-long fan of Sony products, and here they continue to deliver on that tradition. They have been known for their 'Mega Bass' for years, and these small ear buds deliver a huge punch for the size. Opening the eco-friendly packaging, no plastics, but recycled cardboard throughout, you get a minimalist design for these ear buds. A charging cord, instructions and a couple of different sized ear tips are all that are in the package. There is one multifunction button on each side and you do have to read the instructions and memorize the number of presses to control the ear buds. Initially, setting them up was a little bit of a challenge. Holding down the buttons looking for the bluetooth lights, I didn't get any, like you would when normally pairing bluetooth products. Instead, you need to download the Sony Headphones app, which makes pairing and controlling them so much easier. Once downloaded, you can pair the headphones fairly easily - I say this because it still took two attempts for them to be fully recognized. This is my reason for docking one star in the review, as the initial out of the box experience wasn't straightforward like other bluetooth products I've used/paired with - they weren't intuitive. HOWEVER - once paired, the experience gets exponentially better. You have complete control over how the ear buds sound. You are taken through a listening experience in the app, where you are given options of what you are listening to, to absolutely fine tune the listening experience. You don't just have a 3 stage equalizer (bass, mid, high), it's 5 stages, but guides you through, playing music, and offering deep preference options. I was really impressed with that. Pressing the buttons on the ear buds gives you control over the volume, track playing, play, pause, and also the active noise canceling. You can enhance the sounds around you, so that you can still be aware of your surroundings, or you can 'cancel' them out and become fully immersed in your music. And talking of that, the bass that these tiny ear buds puts out is stellar. Very impressed that something so small can produce this amount of bass. Very impressive. They also have the ability to adapt the noise canceling functionality on the go. So for example, if you are sitting at your desk, you can have the noise canceling active, but when you stand up and move around, it activates the heightened listening, so that you can still hear your music but be aware of your surroundings. Go back to your desk and they revert to full noise canceling again. Great feature you never knew you needed, but so valuable. And range while walking around, is so impressive! I have a 4000sqft house, my office is in the middle of the house. I was able to walk upstairs and downstairs without any loss of signal from my phone, where other headphones I use would have dropped signal. I was really impressed with the distance I could walk away from my phone, with solid connectivity at all times! Overall - apart from the pairing issue at the very beginning, and not knowing if they were powered on or not (no lights or indicators on the ear buds), they have been an incredible set of ear buds and will become my go-to set to use daily. And talking of that - you can pair to more than one product (up to two) with this. So you can have them connected to your computer AND your phone at the same time, and they will select between the two as you receive phone calls or as you work. I have no hesitation in recommending these ear buds. Great product!

So I really like Sonys audio products. This is the first time using their in earbuds, I was looking for something good with sound and noise cancellation. They’re pretty good with the noise cancellation. Size is nice and does tuck well into the ear if you’re working out. I mostly got these for working out and reviews says they’re good if you break a sweat. However, you do need a break from these every hour or so. They hurt the heck out of my ears and I have to slightly pull them out where they’re are being fully tucked in but just enough to hold on to use. Definitely not good for prolonged use. If you’re looking for prolonged usage, I’d say go with over ear headphones or earbuds that look like AirPods. I can go all day with those design pieces. I have a few pair of in ears and this pair would be my go to for a gym session. Anything else, I’d try out other designs

The sound is good quality. It cancels out most noise, such as someone talking on a speakerphone, you would just hear muffled noise. However, if you are using them to go to the gym they might fall out easily if you sweat a lot. Overall, they are pretty comfy. Most of the time I forget I have them on, or think I have them on when I don't. Also, I love that the app tells you the battery life for both earbuds and the case.

These are one of the best earbuds I have tried so far when it comes to sound quality. Noise canceling works amazingly, even in the loudest of crowds, and the barter life is excellent. The only one complaint, however, is where the control buttons are positioned (pause and play, ambient sound and noise cancelling controls), they are on the very top of each earbud, they’re pretty big, and very sensitive, so when laying on the side, they activate instantly which can be really irritating. I’d recommend these earbuds for sports, or just basically anything else, except for laying down on your side. Additionally, the case can scratch pretty easily, so if that’s something you care about, I’d recommend getting a case. Other than this, they work great.

Hi Alie, We're happy that you like most of the features, especially the sound quality and excellent noise cancellation of these earbuds. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and are sorry to learn about the difficulties you're encountering with the unit, particularly with the headset reacts incorrectly or works unintentionally when positioned on its side. You can change the function assignments to the buttons on the left and right headset units using the Sony Sound Connect app to [Not Assigned] if you want to disable the activation of the headset you are using when laying down. Thanks for sharing your feedback and for choosing Sony! -Jess
