Sony - WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling Over-the-Ear Headphones - Black

Hello Jumbo, Thank you for considering Sony products! We appreciate your inquiry about whether the WH-1000XM5 headphones will comfortably accommodate large ears and are happy to assist you. The WH-1000XM5 features a redesigned oval earcup shape with an expanded inner diameter compared to previous models, providing a more spacious fit for a variety of ear shapes and sizes. They are crafted with our premium pressure-relieving synthetic leather and thick memory foam padding, which evenly distributes weight and reduces clamping pressure during extended listening sessions. While the sleek profile is engineered to create a secure acoustic seal for optimal noise-canceling performance, the lightweight design ensures maximum comfort. If possible, we recommend trying the headphones on at a local retailer to experience the fit firsthand. We hope this helps you with your decision. Best regards, -Fred

Hi wking, There is no mandatory subscription for the 360 Spatial Audio software, but you would need to use a music service that supports that format. Those music subscriptions do have a monthly cost. Unfortunately, that isn’t something under our control. We take all user input seriously and will make sure your comments reach the appropriate person. Regards, Vincent

11 hour flight no problem at all. The xm5 is rated for 30 hours on a full charge, more if you don't use all of the features. Real world heavy use I get at least 25 out of mine. Re: plug-in, if you mean power, you need to have a USB type C cable to charge them, but again you should not need to for an 11 hour flight. If you mean audio, they can work wirelessly or can be plugged into an audio device with the included 3.5mm audio cable. I use these as travel studio headphones, plugged in more than wireless generally. Both modes are good, the fact that these have both was a primary factor for me to buy them.

Nope

Yes they can be very loud
