Q: Can you explain the Extended Tumble feature and how it helps prevent wrinkles in clothes?
A: The Extended Tumble feature in the Speed Queen DC5 Sanitizing Electric Dryer helps prevent wrinkles by continuing to tumble the clothes periodically after the drying cycle is complete. This prevents the clothes from sitting in one position for too long, which can cause wrinkles to set in. The dryer will continue to tumble the clothes until they are removed or the Extended Tumble cycle is turned off.
A: The DC5 Sanitizing Electric Dryer uses a 4-way venting system, providing flexible venting options for installation convenience. The exhaust vent is located on the left side of the dryer.

A: Yes, the DC5 Sanitizing Electric Dryer does have an interior light to assist with visibility when loading and unloading clothes. This feature is mentioned in the product specifications under "Interior Light(s): true".

A: The voltage requirement for the DC5 Sanitizing Electric Dryer is 240 volts. The product specifications indicate that the dryer draws 30 amperes. Based on this information, it is likely that the dryer will require a dedicated circuit to ensure safe and efficient operation.
A: The DC5 Sanitizing Electric Dryer stands out with its sanitization feature, eliminating 99.9% of common household bacteria. It also boasts an impressive 5-year warranty for both parts and labor, ensuring long-term peace of mind. However, it lacks certain features commonly found in similar dryers, such as a moisture sensor, CEE qualification, and energy star certification.
A: The context mentions "Reversible Door Hinge: true", which indicates that the door of the DC5 Sanitizing Electric Dryer can be reversed. This feature allows users to adjust the dryer door to accommodate different laundry room layouts.

I bought this dryer to match wash that had good reviews. I didn't do a ton of research and wish I had. If you look all over reddit, there's lots of flaws that are listed and I started to experience them within a few months of owning the dryers. Flaw 1: If you turn the timer dial the wrong way, the dryer won't shut off. Enabling you to run your dryer all night long if you turn the dial the wrong direction and head to bed. I understand SQ will tell you it says turn the dial clockwise on the dryer, but it's the only dryer I know that let's you turn it the wrong way. Imagine your electric bill after running that dryer for 12 hours a few times by mistake. Flaw 2: The dryer will overheat and melt things. If you remember to turn the dial the correct way. That won't prevent your dryer from the possibility of melting. I don't mean your clothes, although they may get damages to. I mean the dryer melts the metal grate in the back as well as the plastic lint catch. We tried lower heat settings and it still melted. Again, go look around on reddit and see that I'm not lying. Speed Queen will say it's because of your ventilation not being good enough. Well, if Speed Queen's ventilation requirements are much more strict than other manufacturers and most homes don't qualify, this isn't a product I can recommend for the average household. In conclusion, avoid this dryer and probably Speed Queen. They claim to be better quality. However, my experience has left us hundreds of dollars poorer when I'm confident any old dryer would have done equally as well.

Agree with the previous review. I purchased drier less than two weeks ago. The retailer allowed me to swap the unit after it ran for 3 hours without shutting off. The replacement same model -dc5003we has started the same issue. Runs without shutting off. Runs for hours and hours and the timer knob does not advance. I ONLY turned the knob clockwise, which is ridiculous, and I don't know if the installer or my housekeeper turned it backwards or not but I guess that might be contributing to the issue. The real issue however is that this unit has a faulty timer and or lacks a mechanism to prevent normal use from rendering this machine a fire hazard. My retailer said my house electricity is to blame. Electrician says the dryer is 100% the issue. Notice that speedqueen website will not let you read the reviews but you can see negative reviews in the search results sometimes. I am so disappointed. My SQ washer is phenomenal and I didn't research dryers I just got a SQ. Now it looks like I'm going to be regretting the decision for a long time to come.
