Not plug and play, doesn't show up as device

This headset does not show up as a separate device on my computer. It will play audio if plugged in, but when going to the sound option in control panel it shows as if the audio is playing through the PC speaker. Mic doesn't work. When I try to troubleshoot I get an error that there's no mic plugged in. Will work on phone, will not work on PC, opposite of what I need it for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
