I purchased this as a replacement of an older version of the same model that finally died after about a decade of hard use. This is a solid performer and is one of the very few dehumidifiers that I have found with a built in UV light too. I like the extra air cleaning that the UV light brings to the package. That said, I was hoping that this newer model would have quieter operation from my old model. Unfortunately, I think this new one is actually louder than the old version. I am not sure if they have downgraded the fan or what, but my old version was about half as loud. This machine is relatively loud for such a small machine, but this could be good for those that want some white noise in the background while they sleep. Honestly, if I can find another brand of similar size with a UV light then I will try that next time with the hope that it will be quieter. Alternately, if this one lasts the decade plus that my last one did then I will probably forget this comment by then.

I purchased this unit couple of years ago. It worked well, but the transformer died and there is no way to get a replacement one. Product support is useless and the user’s manual does not provide any good information. If the transformer goes bad, you will have to dispose of the unit as there are no replacements easily accessible in the market.

So I got this for the upstairs in my place and so far, I've enjoyed it. I think the dehumidifying functionality is less than stellar but the UV de-germing is worth it alone. Let it run for about 3 hours in the bathroom the other day and captured about a half cup of water. I would have to imagine there's more but unsure. Waiting to see if constant use helps with allergies and the like, but so far, happy with the performance.

I had a humidity problem in my closet, so I purchased this dehumidifier. In about 12 hours working non-stop it collected about 4oz of water. My closet is about 180 cu-ft. Not noisy, it makes as much noise as a small fan. Would recommend for bathrooms, closets or small rooms.

Does pull some water out. Good portable size. I resorted to using it in closets because it's not a exactly a beast.

This dehumidifier has very low capacity and may be be OK for a very small room or a closed, but way too small for a normal size room. I managed to collect about a teaspoon of water in a day and a half. I replaced it with a bigger dehumidifier that collected about half a gallon for the same time under similar conditions. In addition, the research I did on the Peltier method showed that it's not very energy efficient.

Exactly what I was expecting. Quiet, easy to use, efficient. Used in a bedroom so hard to keep up with the demand, but also have an absorbing container out that is empty, so it works great!

No complaints with this dehumidifier. We use it in our camper and was surprised by the amount of water it had collected in just a few days. It’s very quiet and easy to move around.

this is an amazing dehumidifier for my closet. it was musty and there was mold on my velvet clothes and handbags. After purchasing this item, the germs and smell are gone. It has a uv light that kills the musty smell and gems making my closet fresh. I highly recommend this item for any closet that needs a refresher. No need to spray room freshener or anything, it takes care of the odor as well.

I hate to give bad reviews. I needed a small dehumidifier for my bathroom. So I read the specifications and this one seemed to be perfect for the tiny room. I have a much larger dehumidifier but wanted something compact so I can put on a shelf. This seemed perfect for me. However in the instructions it says DO NOT USE IN BATHROOM. Why couldn't they put that in the specifications or item details? Another thing about this, it's quite loud. It's louder than my regular size Insigna 35 Pint Dehumidifier. This also came scratched on the top. And talk about huge plug size. It uses a plug with a giant brick similar to my samsung notebook that I am using to type of this review. So bottom line, if you need this for the bathroom KEEP ON LOOKING.

Closet under stairs was damp -- placed this in the closet -- no more dampness - fits on shelf very easily. Very quiet to run.

I purchased this to use in a small bedroom with a small walk in closet. So far it has worked really well on humid days keeping the air more fresh and dry.

The mini humidifier helps prevent mildew & fungus growth in a small area (bathroom fewer than 50 sq ft) in a humid climate, ONLY WHEN BATHROOM IS NOT IN USE.

I have a problem with water leaking in my closet from time to time and this dehumidifier works great at helping keeping it dry. The only unfortunate thing is it is a little unsteady and tipped over so the top handle broke... but the unit itself still works great.

This is a nice unit for a small space. It runs quiet and it is very easy to see the water level and empty the water reservoir.

Love this little thing I have window units so it can get kinda damp in my house I can definitely tell a difference and it oddly seems to help keep it cooler. My only “complaint” is that it took me a bit to get the tank out to empty it but once I figured it out it’s easy! Seriously considering getting one for upstairs and basement!

Haven't used it long but it was needed for small humid space off of a bath the doesn't get any air circulation. Seem like it works pretty slow but we have brought the humidity level down and it doesn't take up much space. Just have to remember to keep it emptied.
