About This Item
German contemporary composer Gerhard Stäbler studied with Nicolaus Huber (composition) and Gerd Zacher (organ) at the Nordwestdeutsche Musikakademie in Detmold and the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen. Winning the 1982 Cornelius Cardew Memorial Prize was the first in a series of accolades he has received as a composer. Stäbler's music often transcends the conventional framework. His catalogue of works contains only five pieces for organ, all of which are recorded here by Dominik Susteck. Album Tracks 1. Musikalischer Essay Über Die Grenzen Des Möglichen for a Keyboard (2001) 2. Heiss! for Organ (1988) 3. Windows for Solo Organ (1983) 4. Tap for Organ Pedal Solo (1998) 5.
