I need an adapter for my HP Photosmart A310 printer. One end us USB and the other end is for a camera but I want to use my laptop, not my camera

I have a Seagate backup that was used on my desktop with an RJ11 type connector. I need to access the data on the backup drive from my laptop which is USB. Will this adaptor work for this process? If not, are you aware of an adapter for this purpose?
