The SR-497HPC is a full-sized mobile amateur radio built for licensed HAM operators who need dependable, high-output communication from a vehicle, truck stop, or base station. It covers the 28.000–29.700 MHz 10-meter band with 40 programmable channels per band across 13 selectable frequency bands (A–L and VFO), operating in AM, FM, and PA modes. Six IRF-520 MOSFET transistors deliver over 100 watts of PEP output, eliminating the need for a separate amplifier. The Up-Armored receiver features proprietary shielding and tight-tolerance filtering — providing 70 dB adjacent-channel selectivity and 45 dB of RF gain control for clear reception even in busy RF environments.
