This was a made for TV film that premiered on NBC stations on October 31, 1978. It is based off the book by Lois Duncan. It was called Stranger in Our House back then. It did go to theaters in the UK when the title was changed to Summer of Fear. Basically, the plot is a cousin goes to live with Linda Blair's family after she loses her parents in a car crash. But, Linda's life is turned upside down after her cousin moves into her house. Everyone is charmed by the cousin but Linda's character thinks otherwise. She begins to suspect that the cousin may be a witch because she finds some burnt horse's hair in her cousin's drawer after Linda's horse gets hurt and also finds a missing picture of Linda's character with red paint spots on it. Kind of cheesy but a cool remembrance of the 70's. The film also stars a young Fran Drescher. The picture quality for a blu ray is very poor. They could have done a better job. Special Features include: Exclusive new interview with Linda Blair Director commentary by Wes Craven Poster and still gallery Original trailer

This movie flew under my radar. I came by it accidentally and glad I did. I miss the days of these made for TV movies.
