Born from three decades of SVS design expertise, the SB17-Ultra R|Evolution subwoofer represents the pinnacle of subwoofer performance. Featuring a massive 17" driver with dual 8" coils, powered by a powerful amplifier with DSP intelligence, the subwoofer incorporates advanced power management and auto EQ room correction. The benchmark for reference subwoofer experiences has arrived. Experience breathtaking low frequencies with unerring accuracy, musicality, and precise control. From the deep, chest-thumping slam of cinematic soundtracks to the delicate nuance of musical bass, every note is rendered truthfully. Whether heard or felt, low frequencies are delivered effortlessly without sacrificing sonic fidelity or refinement. With extension down to 15Hz, below the threshold of human hearing, the SB17-Ultra R|Evolution brings sound to life with visceral, jaw-dropping impact.
The glass fiber composite cone, combined with a 55 lb. toroidal ferrite magnet motor assembly, delivers massive low-frequency output down to 15Hz with pinpoint accuracy and control.
Constructed with double-thick MDF and rigid internal bracing, the cabinet creates a resonance-free environment for pitch-perfect accuracy, free from unwanted resonances and coloration.
The dual voice coil design ensures stable and consistent transfer of motor electromagnetic energy to the 17" cone to maintain precise driver control with maximum efficiency.
Each of the two Class-D mono-block amplifiers, featuring MOSFET output stages, powers one of the dual voice coils, doubling the current fed to the driver. This design achieves effortless output while reducing continuous current demand from the home’s AC circuit.
Time-aligns the AC voltage with the AC current, while filtering and stabilizing incoming voltage to optimize signal quality and audio performance.
The advanced processor optimizes every aspect of subwoofer output and usability to maintain flawless performance and intuitive control.
Provides a convenient way to control all DSP functions, including volume, six-band parametric equalizer, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain, port tuning, system settings, custom presets, and auto room EQ.
