The Swann CoreCam Pro Single Indoor/Outdoor wire-free 2k camera comes with a 32GB Micro Sd Card. However, they also want to charge for monthly plans. Starting at $9.99 a month for a 3-month trial plan I suppose for cloud storage and picture and video access in the app I guess. Setting the camera up was not to bad. The worst part physically was the lack of a second pivot point to get around objects in order to get the camera how I wanted it. It also had a strangely angled arm that would have been fine if it just had more adjustment. I finally ended up moving the camera to the other end of the garage and got it set up to my liking. Once I got it aimed and angled correctly it worked fine. The app worked okay although I am not super impressed with it by any means. The only thing I really like about the camera compared to my other name brand cameras is the bright spotlight. However, it only took a couple of hours to run the battery down to about %80 with it running on the battery and I do not see a water-resistant way to keep it plugged in. So unless you want to use it inside be ready to charge it all of the time. My other brands have removable battery packs and much better water seals not to mention bigger batteries. The Swann CoreCam Pro does a decent job for it’s intended purpose. Non-removable battery poor water resistance and a monthly fee for what? No thanks, I have other units with hubs inside connected to the internet with extra storage attachment options and no monthly fee and an excellent app as well as expandability. My other set came with a hub 32Gb sd card 2 cameras with all of the same features minus a light that is not as bright. However, they have removable battery packs you can switch out without downtime that have 3 18650 batteries built in that last like 6 months per charge. I do not know what swan is thinking but they sure the heck are not looking at the competition. The other set I mentioned only cost $30 more for two cameras and the hub with no monthly fee. For the price of the Swann, it should come with the solar panel and a hub with and additional camera. Then they would be competitive. Also, why do I have to wait for stand-by mode to disengage before viewing the camera. Overall it is a pretty good camera and it does light up video’s taken at night which is good. However, you wil be charging your camera a lot if it is at your garage or front door. I will not be paying a $9.99 a-month fee for this camera and I will not be climbing up to charge it all the time either. Swann can do a lot better than this. Bottom line you can get a lot more for your money and do not buy this camera for outdoor use. It will work good for indoor use staying plugged in if maybe you have a network of Swann cameras and the monthly fee works out to be reasonable.. There are just way to many more cost-effective quality options out there to spend your money on this high-dollar single camera!

I am going to use this camera for my indoor front door entrance or maybe i will move it on my porch in the future. It is very convenient and so easy to set it up, it really took me probably 2 minute to have it running after i opened the box. Make sure you have installed the app on your device "Swann security" available on both ios and android. Access to your wifi password and the rest it's very simple, it will mainly securely connect to your router and establish it's transmitting signal stretch based on how far you will have it installed from it. Even tough it successfully establishes a connection even at larger distances i would recommend to keep it as close as possible or to use some wifi extenders. I like the fact that the flash on the camera it's really powerful and helps to scare away a possible intruder as well as seeing in the dark! The viewing angle is good and the night vision performs good as well. I found the motion detection to work good too and the lag to be at minimum which is want you need from a wireless security camera like Swann core cam. I like that they included a 32gb for local storage and some stickers in the package. It's a good, decent device that really adds protection to your space, but i really don't like the fact that in 2022 we still have companies that charge premium for devices and then expect for monthly charges to fully operate that device that they just sold you. I am curious how useful would this be after they're trial is over, but again i feel that when you buy your device at least a minimum cloud storage and some feature should come with it and for more advanced features like dispatch, 24hrs surveillance etc should be a charge. Hope that is helpful!

The Swann CoreCam pro is a light compact camera that does some things really well but falls short on the software side. I installed the Swann CoreCam pro in a small office and the set up process was easy with the app. The camera is super light so you can get away with just drilling it into stucco without worrying it will fall over if you install it inside. The cameras picture quality is really good and captures a lot of detail and this might be the reason that there are very few flash positives when it comes to lights shining into the room from outside. I also found that the spotlight to be fairly bright in case you want to use it as a deterrent for unwanted guest. The App it self is pretty easy to navigate and everything is clearly laid out, you can set schedules, change quality of video and has nice toggles to flip the camera image in case you mounted it upside down or if you have it looking through a window but that is where the good things end when it comes to the CoreCam Pro. Another thing that this camera has that other Wi-Fi cameras don’t is the length of recording, it kept recording up to a full minute where there was movement which isn’t the case for most other Wi-Fi cameras. The battery life for me has held up great , only 3% down in 4 days but that all depends on the amount of activity. The motion detection mask area is one of the best I have seen, it allows you to make sure you only receive notifications when movement is detected in a certain area. Although the app has a nice layout and is easy to navigate it needs an update when it comes to how fast the app boots up, this is also an issue with the camera which takes anywhere from 10-15 seconds to load. Also it seems as if Swann only has 2.4 Wi-Fi on the CoreCam pro, which is great for range however when it comes to sending bigger data packets 2.4 is a bottle neck and im not sure why most security camera companies stick to just the 2.4. I also noticed that the CoreCam pro detection range is rather limited, no matter if you change the detection settings to max. At about 15 feet the camera wont detect you if there are other things around, for instance in my office which is a mess it wasn’t able to recognize me at 15 feet when I was moving. I think some of these things can be addressed with a software update but only time will tell. The cameras mic and speaker are average so if your trying to have a conversation with someone from it you will sound tinny to them, so its just as good as any other Wi-Fi camera when it comes to this. Overall there needs to be some updates to turn on the Camera quicker and fix the cooling off period which takes a bit long from time to time, also the camera disconnects from the Wi-Fi too often which seems to be something that is being done to save battery. These items need to be addressed because it increases the chances of you missing an event happening.
