Q: Do these cameras show the images in color or black and white only? Thamks
A: It’s color and at night it switches to night mode, which is B&W. On the mobile device though, viewing is horrible and in iOS11 the app is not even supported and no update from Swann. If you won’t be doing mobile viewing - no problem then.
Q: How long are the included video cables?
A: The video cables are 60 feet for each camera.
A: It doesn't make a lot of noise but I have to sleep in a silent room so I put it elsewhere but it's quieter than a quiet fan so you should be good
Q: Which add on camera is compatible with this system?
A: I got this link from Swann when I had the same question before purchasing http://www.swann.com/media/wysiwyg/docs/swann-camera-compatibility.pdf If you can't download the pdf, the customer service at Swann is awesome at answering back, they answered me in under 24 hours on a weekend.
A: Yes you can, it's not that hard to do if you have experience figuring out a vcr, you can program the record times. There is an option right on the main menu to set recording time of day, days of the week, etc. This is a really user friendly system, well worth it.
Q: Is the power adaptor good for 230Vac
A: I don't believe so, 120 only
A: Yes. But its an add on I bought and I love it (HD bullet) if I turn it up all the way I can hear my neighbors tv. In there bed room 200 feet away .
