Sweet Punch - Magic Stones - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Folk

'Magic Stones' continues to show the eclectic and diverse songwriting by Bridget St John, now going by the stage name Sweet Punch. Heavily influenced in her songwriting by artists such as Elton John, Heart, Queen, and more, this album's mix of tenderness, satire, and passion will make you feel like your listening to the soundtrack of a comical, yet tender story in a movie. Again, her core instrument is piano, but the continuing mix of diverse instrumentation make listening to this artist's music blissfull and warming. Garage Band Reviews 'Piano heaven with a vocal track that sounds like it's from the same place!' -Review of 'Tender Flower' by Terry Carroll, Algonquin, Illinois 'Finally!! Originality!! This song rocked! It's not often that I've reviewed something original. Good vocals, awesome funk guitar, amazing intro, smart lyrics, overall very very good!' -Review of 'Public Trans' by Mathesoncircle, Montreal, Quebec, Canada 'Little Cup O' Reality! Great funk sound with quirky and smart lyrics. Vocals are tight and the harmonies well-constructed and very stylish. Everything about this sounds top notch. The bass line is clean and drives the energy, with tasty guitar licks and a steady drum backbeat. I try to provide some constructive criticism in my reviews, but there's nothing here I don't love.' -Reviewed by sseifert from Omaha, Nebraska. Album Tracks 1. Tender Flower 2. Public Trans 3.
