The good: - Acceptable battery life - Sound is ok - Easy to use - Screen decent during bright scenes The bad: - Feels cheap, particularly the buttons - No picture controls - Need to use the remote for most functions - Absolutely horrid blacks. Dark scenes are basically unwatchable The last point is what causes this to get 2 stars. Dark scenes are beyond terrible. Easily the worst blacks I've seen on any screen. Far too much backlighting washes out the picture, leaving everything a grey blob. And on top of that, there's no display controls. If you only watch bright movies, it's fine. Otherwise, look for alternatives.

The 10 inch diagonal full HD screen is excellent. The Blu-ray and regular DVD's play perfectly. The stereo speakers are very clear. It also came with ear buds for private listening. It comes with a built in battery, a power adaptor for the house and one for the car. The included remote control works great. It also has a slot for an SD card. The player's swivel screen makes easier for me to view from a variety of angles. The player seems very solid and well built.
