is it normal to hear a noise a couple minutes after turning on the unit? Its like buzzing in the fan or motor and then when i turn off thw unit you can hear the sound die down when the motor is shutting down. is this normal?

We generally do not recommend plugging the unit into anything other than a dedicated wall outlet/circuit, and it should be plugged directly into the outlet (not a power strip, UPS, or extension cord).
