Purchased this 43" TCL FireTV to put in a space that I could not use a bigger size. This is my fifth TCL TV I have bought. I think there performance to price ratio is hard to beat. I have never had any issues with them. The FireTV software is not bad. It can be a little sluggish sometimes but not enough to be bothersome. I am happy with the picture. I like to watch the HDR videos on YouTube to see how good the picture is. Overall I am happy with the TV so far.

I cannot recommend the 42-inch TCL 4K TV enough — this thing absolutely delivers. From the moment I turned it on, I was blown away by how crisp and vibrant everything looks. Whether I’m watching movies or gaming, the picture quality is stunning. Colors pop, blacks are deep, and every scene feels incredibly cinematic. Gaming on this TV is a total game-changer (pun intended). The response time is super smooth, and there’s virtually no lag — so fast-paced shooters and open-world games feel incredibly immersive. Even in dark or brightly lit rooms, the visuals stay sharp and consistent. Movies look amazing. 4K content on streaming apps and Blu-rays has never looked better. Details are rich, textures are clear, and the overall experience feels way above what I expected for the price. Watching my favorite films feels like being in a mini home-theater. The design is sleek and modern, the sound is surprisingly good for a TV (and even better with a soundbar), and setup was a breeze. This TCL TV checks every box for me — great picture, great performance, great value. If you want a TV that handles both gaming and movies like a pro, this is the one. Worth every penny!

I I thoroughly enjoyed unboxing and putting together this TV however I opened it open box. With the open box purchase, I was unaware that it did not come with the TV legs for this size which is 48 inches and up apparently. I ended up ordering them separately on Amazon and installing them myself. Make sure you have a screwdriver because you’re going to be screwing screws into plastic however, overall it was a decent experience for the prize. The quality and sound is both really really good. I’m looking forward to getting a gaming system to play with this TV from Best Buy and I am a satisfied customer to say the least

This TV is absolutely amazing! I didn’t expect it responding so fast but it actually did! The color, the sound, all very good! I will definitely buy this brand again when I change to a bigger TV.

Great TV for the price. No complaints. Works well as a tv built into a table for games. Using soundbar, so cant comment on audio quality.

So short and sweet review here, TCL did not check these in QC very well…. I drove all the way out to Best Buy from rural area, bought this TV for my aunt. Got back, no operating system installed… Box says to call TCL, not return to store. I call TCL… this is “not covered by warranty”…. Maybe that was the representative not understanding the issue but sounds like bogus that they want me to wait 10-14 days for a representative and might still have to pay… drove all the way back, returned it. Tested another one in store to see before driving all the way back.. no operating system installed…. boots straight to boot loader again. Customer service reps were initially thinking I must’ve caused it because they’ve never seen this happen before… neither have I… they must’ve been from the same batch and nobody bothered to install the FireTV OS once the second one was defective. Sales rep said it’s a holiday model like the special 6 series Samsung models that are dirt cheap and only available Black Friday thru Christmas and recommended either getting a standard non-holiday TVL or a different TV. Exchanged for a cheap Insignia instead.

Unfortunately the TV arrived with a big smudge and a barcode sticker stuck directly on the screen. I'm not sure who would want to attempt to peel a stubborn sticker off their brand new TV? Returned

Great picture, sound and awesome remote! This tv is the perfect size for my bedroom, easy to put on a mount as well. I am enjoying what TCL has been doing the last 6 years. My whole house is them at this point!

For the price, Absolutely amazing Tv. Image, sound, how thin the tv is, all great! But there is one major drawback and why I needed to return this tv. Fire tv OS. It is by far the WORST operating system I’ve used on a tv. Laggy, ads galore, and the most annoying part? No paramount+ support. Apparently it’s not supported, you can jump through hoops and get some channels through other apps apparently, but I’m not doing all that. I wanted the app its self to work how it does on ALL my other tvs. And the remote is terrible too. It’s huge, the button layout is terrible, just not a fan of fire tv at all. Returned and spent a couple bucks more on an LG.
