Pros: once settings are set up properly, it is a beautiful picture. The Game mode does indeed offer low latency. Can be blisteringly bright if you need it to be; HDR really benefits from this- the black are quite good as well. Cons...plenty unfortunately. -eARC and CEC are totally non functional. Only CEC initially worked, eARC worked for ~30 seconds, then no response at all. Multiple factory resets, settings changes, updates, etc at the direction of TCL support (very friendly) did nothing. -Stock picture looked worse than my 14 year old plasma. Sports somehow looked blocky and blurry at the same time. This must be the slow processor (Best Buy employee warned me. Should've listened, thank you BB!) and software combined with terrible "improvement" settings. Viewing the same sporting event via YouTube TV via an Xbox was a significant improvement in clarity over the stock app (with TV's motion settings, etc. turned off on both). -Google TV: this is generally for the platform, but applies here. By default, it is buggy, slow, and chock full of ads. Dark patterns abound. I had it update after I turned that off, and voice control turned itself back on after that update as well. -Onkyo 2.1 system is a joke. You absolutely cannot tell it has a "sub" (actually two tiny woofers, so really should be "2.2"). However, the SPL is crazy- this TV on 10 is like my old TV on 50.

Who have loved to give a great review but the TV did not live up to my expectations. Tons of issue including sound. Very muffle and volume control went from to low to hear to way too loud in one click. Picture setting would reset to factory settling on it own and tv would crash while watching Netflix and then reboot the tv. Best Buy was great with the return and decided to go with another model.

Order and pick-up was easy through BBY, and the TV is well packed. Set-up was okay, I got stuck on the Google TV set-up, but managed to finish it. I was disappointed with the picture out of the box; particularly, the motion was not natural, and fast-action scenes were choppy. I went into the settings and turned off the motion control and this is seems much better. I suggest going through the settings immediately. I'm still disappointed with Dolby Vision on Apple TV; the colors are dull, and the picture is not very bright. There is an issue with the dark scenes where the backlight also flickers. The sound seems sufficient, but I am connected to external speakers. Overall, I would say the picture is good but not really a noticeable upgrade to my 10-year-old Sony Bravia. I'm glad I kept it for the kids room, because the 120 hertz native motion rate and color consistency are better. If I had to do this purchase over again I would buy another Sony, even if their lower-end direct light panel I think would be higher quality processing. And BBY's 15-day standard return policy is sub-par to Amazon. Now I'm stuck with this thing for better or worse.

Overall this tv SHOULD be a 5/5, but theres an obvious issue that the settings can’t seem to fix. Immediately upon unboxing, the motion clarity bs was turned off, it quite literally ruins some scenes with its adjustment to try having smooth motion. Snowflakes flying? Good luck. After turning that off completely, and reducing most of the other settings like Sharpness and Noise Reduction, theres still been a glaring issue that hasnt been able to be corrected, and somehow I cant’t find anything online of similar symptoms. Maybe I’m too picky or maybe nobody else has an eye or care enough to see, but when I spend this much on a 75” tv I expect the picture to be solid. Whenever there’s motion in the shadows, the blacks have a green haze distortion that comes up. Some shows are worse than others, but it happens quite often and detracts from whatever is playing. Mostly we stream from the built in apps (Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc) and it’s evident with all of them. I will need to update if I notice a difference when playing from a device plugged into HDMI. The brightness and local dimming is amazing, the whites are bright and the blacks are as dark as the outer bezel. But in the middle of the picture having this shadow motion blur green haze makes me regret this tv purchase every time we turn the tv on.

The picture is great. Only two stars for the absolutely maddening set up and smart phone requirement. No paper set up instructions as well. The entire process extremely unnecessary.

Unfortunately very pixelated and blurry on some pictures. Sporting events do not look good on this TV. Colors are dull. Picture quality looks very poor and like on an old TV. Returned it for an LG OLED and very happy with that instead of this.
