Soundbar worked well for a few weeks. After week 3 it started to sound weird (muffled sounds like underwater) it also keeps disconnecting from the subwoofer from time to time. So I have to keep pairing the subwoofer to the soundbar. It also says out loud each time you change the setting (Bluetooth, HDMI ARC) or change the treble, bass and that’s quite annoying. My 10 year old soundbar from Samsung never did that and never had issues. I wish I never bought this one. I reached to the TCL team and they can’t do anything about it. If you buy it from Best Buy get the protection plan. I also don’t like how it announces everything.

This purchase turned out to be a bad decision for me. The TCL soundbar literally gave up on me in 4 months. I called in the geek squad and they confirmed that the soundbar had failed. Then I called the so called TCL ‘customer service’ and after nearly an hour of going through their whole diagnostics (which was a repeat of what we had already done earlier), they literally disconnected on me! I called back a few times hoping that it was unintentional but I could not get an agent again! This has been a frustrating experience for me and I will never recommend TCL product again

Returned, bought a new 40" TCL for my grandsons in May of 2025, remote stopped working before Christmas. Tried to fix with no luck, finally was able to talk to someone in IT at TCL, After going thru all of the steps that I had done they decided the receiver on the TV was bad, Scheduled a repair thru ITI, (what a communication joke) said they had canceled the work order. Called back and TCL set up another work order, waiting. Bought the sound bar for Christmas, didn't want to chance it being like the TV, returned it. The grandsons didn't have a TV for Christmas, bought them a Visio TV and sound bar. Do not recommend

issues I bought this TCL soundbar expecting good audio quality because of the Dolby Atmos feature and the wireless subwoofer, but unfortunately the experience has been very disappointing. The sound quality is not good at all — it feels flat, weak, and voices are not clear. On top of that, the connections constantly fail. The soundbar disconnects for no reason, and I have to reset it multiple times. The worst part is that it doesn’t work properly with YouTube live streams. The audio cuts out, loses sync, and sometimes there is no sound at all. I tried different settings, cables, and configurations, but the issue continues. At this point, I really don’t feel it’s worth the money. I do not recommend this product if you’re looking for stable connections, clear sound, and proper compatibility with live content.

So just using the soundbar with out the sub to see how it sounds and man it sounds so bad. The sound bar alone sounds tiny with no bass at all. My 15w bluetooth speaker sounds better. Seems like they added all the power to the subwoofer because its the only good thing about this. I def can’t recommend this product and i think other reviewers on here and amazon are being paid so be cafeful.

It was louder than my TV, but surprisingly not as good. Probably worst soundbar I've ever used, but at least it had volume and looked sleek. Replaced it as soon as possible. Also takes up an HDMI port with no passthrough. And I couldn't get the audio to sync correctly with the video.

We did not keep it. It was just too big for where we wanted to put it. We were very very unsatisfied. I hope the guy who sold us. The TV would’ve told us about how big it was. It wouldn’t fit in front of our TV because of the stand so we had to return it very disappointed

The volume will skip higher or lower without button pressing, it’s really annoying. It seems like there is a lag between the the sound bar receiving signal and translating that to increasing the volume. Also the signal stopped allowing the main tv controller from changing the soundbar through hdmi arc doesn’t seem to work anymore, I have to use the soundbar remote which is annoying, I have only had this soundbar since February 3, 2025. Disappointing, would not recommend this sound bar.

Had this for exactly 3 months the speaker blew and I took it back to Best Buy and they wanted to charge me to fix it AFTER 3 MONTHS!! I threw it in the garbage can!

BestBuy has sent me a used product. I could clearly see the signs of open package when it was delivered. This sound bar and subwoofer disconnects so often and takes multiple attempts to reconnect.

This item looks great but the performance is terrible it’s very hard to find a comfortable volume either to loud or not loud enough and the sub constantly disconnects I had high hopes so this review saddens me.
