If youre looking at this because it was the wirecutters budget pick, you've been steered in the wrong direction. I bought this to replace a sound bar I bought 8 years ago for $150. Figured since it features Dolby Atmos and such that the basic sound quality would be good. It's not. Bass seems fine. Tons of high end, but absolutely no mid range to speak of. The main bar hardly sounds better than built-in speakers. Its like just adding a sub to your TV.

Purchased the sound bar when my Samsung sound bar went out. Much lower cost to replace however you get what you pay for better than TV speakers, but not as good as Samsung.

Dont like it , it comes on by itself no instruction on how to do anything with it , does have on screen levels of bass, treble..etc. or maybe i cant see them??

I purchased the TCL - S55H 2.1 Channel S-Class Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer in August of 2024. I'm not much of an audiophile, I just wanted better sound than the TV offered. They worked ok until November of 2025. So a little over a year. Then the left speaker started cracking. How disappointing. I can't say there was much value for the money.

I bought this soundbar to pair up with a TCL Q6 series. The set up was fairly simple and while the sound quality is better than the tv itself, this soundbar lacks depth and clarity. The main dialogs completely fades away when wathing certain movies. The soundbar automatically turns off after being on standby for 15 minutes and there’s no settings to turn that off. I think it would be a better experience if the sounbar stays in sync with the TV. Overall this is not a terrible soundbar. However, if you value clarity and simplicity, invest your money in something else. I eventually returned this soundbar and replaced it with the Samsung HW-B650 soundbar. I purchased the B650 while it was on sale for about the same price as this soundbar and I’m very please with the sound quality and the overall user experience.

The Bluetooth would not connect to my phone, it didn't register my button presses and the subwoofer wouldn't connect to the soundbar either.

Not much better than the sound quality of the TV. Yes it's a little bit louder, but not immersive whatsoever. Just pay a little more for a 3.1 or 5.1 system. Sounds like a tin can.

The sound from this was no better than the NXTFrame TV it was connected to. I returned it after a day and bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 which is satisfactory.
