Seemingly out of nowhere, the Insomniacs burst onto the scene in 2007 with their debut Left Coast Blues, garnering the band a 2007 Muddy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Act and a 2008 Blues Music Award nomination for Best New Artist Debut.
