For fans of the 60s TV show, this is a must-watch. Rob Zombie did an excellent job casting, directing, and producing this film. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes The Munsters.

Cooky and fun! True fans of Rob Zombie can see the love he has for the Munsters and his style is unmatched. Better than any other rehash of the original! My only negative is that I think the movie would have been a bit better had it been in black&white. But the visuals are stunning!

If there was a 2.5 Star rating, I'd have done that instead. The movie is colorful and it looks great. Sound is DTS-HD 5.1 and sounds fine. If you like the original Munsters TV series, you may enjoy this more than someone who isn't familiar with the concept or it's outdated humor. I grew up with The Munsters and I feel it might have been a better movie if it was made in the 1960's. The humor really doesn't work in 2022, but I thought it was average at best. I'd recommend it to Baby Boomers IF they enjoyed the series, others may find it tedious to watch.

loved watching the munsters as a kid --loved the characters and settings , was VERY excited to see Rob Zombies take ( a horror comedy per zombies visions ) Was SEVERLY disappointed --Zombie has a poor straight comedy style and NO Horror elements in this movie , (to be fair it is a prequel to the series and had an interest in how they got together and thier history ) Was looking forward to a "creepshow ", "Tales of the crypt" or "tales from the Dark Side " vibe -- Sad didnt happen or deliver ( Guess that is why it was a straight to DVD production )

I love this movie, its fun and campy and silly and over the top ridicules. I am a fan of the original show and it truly feels like a prequel to that. If you like wacky comedies like Young Frankenstein this is for you. Picture is great, it has brilliant colors it really shows off well on a 4K tv even though it’s just in 1080p. I hope they bring out a 4K edition I will double dip if they do. Sound is fantastic lots of great music throughout the movie. This movie is also okay for kids as the original Munsters show was made for everyone so is this movie. There is a special feature like making of type thing and also commentary by Zob Zombie, I highly recommend this movie.

So I see Rob Zombie on the cover, figuring a different twist on what I saw as a child growing up watching the Munsters. I was very pleased around 5 minutes into it, this was Terrific, by the time the movie was over I felt as if I were a child again, just like I'm sitting in my fathers recliner watching the Munsters and feeling 5 years old again, it was so freaking cool. Little disappointed that Eddy and the blonde girl wasn't in the movie but then I figure in the second they'll be brought on...110%

Looked forward to this new Munsters as soon as it was announced. Huge fan growing up. This prequel doesn’t disappoint. Captures the feel of the campy show.

This is a good movie but don't expect it to be anything like the 1960s TV Series. Just give it a chance and enjoy it on its own terms.

I love the Munsters, this isn't a bad, but not great movie. To any fan of the original TV show I would recommend this. It's very funny and reminiscent of original TV show. I would loved if it had been in original b&w though.

I liked it, but wish it was more like the television show. If there was a sequel, how could Marilyn be introduced as a Munster, since the doctors assistant picked Herman’s name?

Painfully boring prequel to the classic funny series. I don't get what went wrong here. It shouldn't have been a prequel for starters.
