About this product

In 2008, young Canadian Jay Badahur (Evan Peters) was getting nothing out of his journalism degree when he was advised to go freelance someplace crazy. Noting the rise of piracy off the Somali coast, he embarked on an audacious bid to journey there and embed himself in the pirate community... and beyond risking his life, found all his assumptions about a nation and people challenged. Intriguing adaptation of Badahur's 2011 memoir co-stars Barkhad Abdi, Sabrina Hassan, Melanie Griffith, and Al Pacino. AKA "Dabka." 116 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
