So funny how some of these Marvel films exist, but seem to be almost realistic or modern day interpretations for the time they were made. The Punisher starting Dolph lundgren is one of those! I actually really love this film. I think that every iteration of the punisher, has actually been done to the best of the ability of the filmmakers behind The films and even the Netflix TV series. Personally, my favorite Punisher is Thomas Jane from the 2004 Punisher film, which the directors cut is probably my favorite of that. But this film, the Punisher, has a great score which recently has been released by La La Land records which I recommend you pick up, and this film has a beginning, middle and end. I actually really feel like Dolph lundgren transformed for this film into the Frank Castle character. The film leaves you wanting a little more than what it gives, but it definitely goes into the darkness and grittiness of the character. I definitely think this is worth owning on DVD because it's the best quality until we get a Blu-ray or 4K release, even if that!

A great movie to own if you like the Punisher and Dolph Lundgren and like 80's films.

Since this was the original Punisher movie, it had its potential back in the day. It would’ve been better if it was closer to the comic books.

If you're a Dolph Lindgren fan or a fan of the Punisher comics this is right up your alley.

Dolph Lundgren gave this part justice from beginning to end.

I was supprised to find this and had to pick it up. This version with Dolph was one of my favorites growing up. I highly recommend.

One of my favorite Marvel movies that I have ever seen.

This movie is complete utter garbage. It has no respect to the comics. The character looks nothing like the Punisher. He doesn't have his trademark skull. The only things correct about the Punisher himself is that his real name is Frank Castle, he's a professional combatant and his family were killed. They destroyed what's great about this vigilante. It didn't feel like I'm watching The Punisher, it felt more like I'm watching a non comic book based movie. If don't connect this movie as being Punisher, it's a fun action packed movie. If you look at it as being Punisher, yeah it's completely godawful. If you're collecting the good superhero stuff, bypass this movie. I'm telling you as person big on comics, bypass this movie. It's a bad taste in your mouth. They did a way better job making the Punisher in 2004.
