MAGNOLIA PICTURES Present A LAFAYETTE FILM PRODUCTION of The Stones AND BRIAN JONES. A film by Nick Broomfield2023 UK 93 minutes In 1962, 20-year-old London guitarist Brian Jones went about forming a blues cover band. As The Rolling Stones found meteoric success, his influence within the unit would wane as that of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards rose. In 1969, after years of rising tensions and his own drug-fueled excesses, he'd be dismissed from the group... and die of accidental drowning within a month. Documentarian Nick Broomfield offers a piercing look at Jones' short life, wild times, and self-destructive drives.
