The Uprising - DVD [Standard]

In 1381, with the land well riven by the Black Plague and the Hundred Years' War, the British monarchy concluded that the way out was in raising taxes on the peasantry. Doubly penalized on the family he'd lost to the plague, an ordinary ploughman (Andrew Garfield) lashed out at the authorities-and soon found himself at the head of an open rebellion. Sobering speculation on the Peasants' Revolt from Paul Greengrass co-stars Jamie Bell, Cosmo Jarvis, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander. 127 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
