About This Item
A country music veteran from Springfield, MA, Joe Therrien, Jr. Was entering his late twenties when he converted to the new rock 'n' roll sound. Appropriating the name of Boyd Bennett's group, Therrien formed the Rockets in 1956 and toured the nightspots of Massachusetts and neighboring Connecticut. In 1957, Therrien's manager returned from a trip to New York with the best deal circumstances would allow a one-shot session with the diminutive Lido tag, a subsidiary of the New York City based Bruce Records. Both Lido masters were purchased by Decca then looking for material with which to launch their Brunswick subsidiary. Though not a hit, InchCome Back To Me DarlingInch was covered by the Silva-Tones who called it InchRoses Are BloomingInch and put it on the back of their soon-to-be national hit, InchThat's All I Want From You.Inch Originally released on the Lido tag in 1957, InchHey Babe! Let's Go DowntownInch b/w InchCome Back To Me DarlingInch is presented here newly remastered. Album Tracks 1. Hey Babe! Let's Go Downtown 2. Come Back to Me Darling
