Tiffen - 105mm Coarse Thread 12 Filter, Yellow

Over the years, Tiffen's 105mm Coarse Thread 12 Filter in Yellow has become an indispensable tool for photographers seeking to enhance their black and white photography. This durable, high-quality filter offers a range of filtration effects, from contrast control and tonal corrections to the enhancement of skin tones and the creation of more dramatic landscapes. While originally designed for black and white film, this versatile filter has found its place in color imaging as well, serving as a creative tool for photographers looking to add a unique touch to their work. The Yellow 12 "Minus Blue" feature is particularly effective in cutting haze in aerial photography and reducing the excess blue of a full moon in astrophotography. This reliable filter is also recommended for use with Kodak Aero Ektachrome Infrared film, demonstrating its adaptability across different film types. The multi-coated design of the filter reduces reflections and increases the amount of light that reaches the camera sensor, resulting in superior image quality. The yellow color of the filter is specifically designed to reduce the amount of blue light entering the lens. This feature significantly improves the color accuracy and overall quality of the images captured, making the Tiffen 105mm Coarse Thread 12 Filter an essential addition to any photographer's toolkit.
