The 5GHz band accelerates downloads with speeds of up to 1300Mbps, while the 2.4GHz band supports speeds of up to 600 Mbps. This TP-Link wireless Gigabit router uses beamforming and MU-MIMO technology to extend Wi-Fi range and maximize speeds across multiple devices simultaneously.
A: Yes, definitely. That’s what I connected mine to.
Q: Does this work with Summit broadband.
A: Yes, as long as you have an existing Ethernet connection that provides Internet, such as a modem. You can then connect the router to the modem via Ethernet and enjoy robust, dual-band AC1900 WiFi in your home. Regards, TP-Link Support
Q: IS THIS A DOCSIS 3.1 MODEM?
A: No, this is a dual-band AC1900 WiFi router, not a modem.
Q: What chipset is used in this router? Does this router have a Dual-Core processor? Thanks
A: undefined
Q: Is this router compatible with FiOS
A: I did a quick check and you can use WAN port and still get TV through your cable, so this router is fine. You will need to call into fios and they will remotely activate the WAN port for you. That is what I had to do when I "cut the cable" I hope this helps.
Q: What is the range for this router?
A: Full strength in our 2000SF single-level house. Signal is good at least to the end of our driveway on the opposite side of our house. So, perhaps 80 feet. But this so depends on placement and the structure and materials in your home.
Q: Does this work with Charter/SPECTRUM?
A: Yes. Connected the router to an approved cable modem. At least where I live, Spectrum will provide a router capability for an extra $5/month. I prefer to use my router.
Q: Do I need a separate cable modem with this?
A: Yes a cable modem is needed separately
