Make your new TV the centerpiece of the room, even when you’re not watching it, when you merge technology and décor through our flush TV mounting service. Let our installers do the heavy lifting to ensure your new TV is safely unboxed and mounted flush on the wall. We'll install a recessed in-wall media box and an in-wall power kit behind the TV to conceal cables or media components. Once it’s mounted, we'll add your TV and connected devices to an existing wireless network, perform any needed software or firmware updates, and configure up to two streaming services. In addition, we’ll program the remotes that come with your equipment and explore the options you might have for updating or upgrading the decorative bezel around your TV. Once the setup is finished, we’ll take the time to demo your new technology to make sure you know how to use it and ensure that the workspace is clean. Best Buy’s TV services are backed by a 90-day limited workmanship warranty.

  • Initial evaluation and consultation: When we arrive at your home, we'll evaluate the service area, inspect the area in the stud bay for any obstruction of the service and discuss the scope of work to ensure everything meets your needs and expectations. If they don't, we'll recommend solutions.
  • Delivery, unboxing and exploration: We’ll deliver to a room serviced by an elevator or up to the third floor and then discuss the placement of the new TV. For some TVs, the delivery and installation may be scheduled separately.
  • Installing the in-wall power extension kit: We’ll help you choose the ideal placement for the in-wall power extension kit based on the desired TV location and install the device in a drywall surface between two studs. Then we’ll use your existing and nearby power outlet to provide power to the TV. Moving an electrical outlet isn’t included, and OEM power cables can’t be concealed within the wall.
  • Installing back media box: If applicable, we’ll install the media box designed for use with your TV in the recessed bay.
  • Mounting your TV: We’ll help you choose the best placement for your TV and mount it to a standard frame wall with a drywall surface.
  • Customizing TV bezel frames: If applicable, we’ll install the customizable bezel frames to your TV and show you how they can be switched out in the future. This allows you to customize your TV to fit the rest of your room.
  • Connecting your video devices: We'll connect one new or existing TV to your video components in a single room.
  • Connecting to your home network: After the TV and video devices are connected, we'll add them to your existing wireless network and perform the necessary software or firmware updates.
  • Configuring your subscriptions and accounts: Once connected to the network, we'll configure up to two smart streaming services as needed (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc.) and assist in setting up your associated user accounts.
  • Programming remote controls: Our installers will program manufacturer or service provider remote controls (DirectTV, Xfinity, etc.), set them up for Bluetooth control, and, if applicable, configure an existing voice control device for basic TV control commands.
  • Neatly conceal and dress cables: We'll make sure that all wires and cables that are able to are concealed and neatly dressed, using wire ties when necessary.
  • System demo and answering questions: Once the services are completed, we’ll perform a system demo to show you the features and benefits of your new technology. We’ll answer any questions you may have and discuss additional solutions that will improve your TV experience.
  • Cleaning up and removing packaging: After the installation, we'll clean up the work area and remove any packaging your products came in. We'll haul away and recycle your old TV if it was included in the order or is available to order during the appointment.

  • This mounting service does not include concealing cables outside of a single stud bay, the service cannot be performed on any surface other than drywall, or above a fireplace.
  • This service is applicable to select in-wall power extension kits sold by Best Buy or Geek Squad. Due to state and local requirements, the in-wall power extension aspect of this service is not available in all areas, specifically: NY, WA and Cook County (Chicago) IL.
  • This service does not include connection of audio components, network or smart home device setup or any other type of custom wiring or electrical work. Add-on services must be purchased and scheduled at the same time as a primary installation, or your appointment may be rescheduled with additional charges.
  • Additional charges may apply for delivery or services in extended areas, and the charges are based on location. Service returns cannot be accepted after installation services are completed.
  • We provide a 90-day workmanship warranty on applicable services. If a service call is needed within the warranty period, there will be a $99.99 deposit plus applicable taxes at the time of scheduling which will be refunded to you if we determine that there was a defect in our workmanship. This warranty begins from the date of service completion.
