The Tycoon Percussion Supremo Select is a 7- and 8.5-inch wooden bongo drum set designed for lessons, home practice, rehearsals, and players moving beyond a basic starter instrument. Its 7- and 8.5-inch shells are constructed from hand-selected aged Siam Oak. The water buffalo skin heads provide tunable natural response with warm lower tones and crisp higher accents. Black steel Classic-Pro hoops and 5/16-inch tuning lugs give the player direct control over head tension, while the included tuning wrench supports setup and periodic adjustment after transport or changes in temperature and humidity. The hand-applied Kinetic Steel finish uses a specialized technique to create individual texture and metallic color movement. The stated dimensions make it easier to compare this model with compact, mini, or full-size alternatives before ordering, while the identified shell, head, hoop, and lug specifications show exactly what is included in the instrument's construction. Natural-skin heads can shift slightly with climate, so gradual, alternating wrench adjustments are normal maintenance. Together, the verified materials, tunable hardware, exact size, and series-specific finish provide a practical basis for choosing this bongo set for its intended playing environment.

The 7-inch and 8.5-inch shell pairing gives buyers clearly stated full-size dimensions, making comparison with compact 6- and 7-inch or mini bongos easier before purchase. The two diameters provide separate higher and lower voices with room for open tones, slaps, muted strokes, heel-toe movement, and layered phrases. The format suits lessons, home practice, rehearsals, and players moving beyond a basic starter instrument.
Hand-selected aged Siam Oak gives this wooden bongo drum set a traditional real-wood foundation instead of a molded shell. The paired drums support warm resonance, defined attack, and audible contrast between the two sizes. The material suits lessons, home practice, rehearsals, and players moving beyond a basic starter instrument and is clearly identified so buyers can compare construction, not just color. It separates wood from finish.
The water buffalo skin heads provide a natural playing response with warm lower tones and crisp higher accents. Each head can be tensioned to refine pitch and feel for the room, musical style, and player's touch instead of remaining at one fixed setting. Natural skin can react to humidity and temperature, so small pitch changes are normal; the tunable design lets players make controlled corrections when needed.
Black steel Classic-Pro hoops and 5/16-inch tuning lugs provide multiple adjustment points for control over tension, pitch, and response. The included wrench supports setup and adjustment after transport, humidity changes, or regular use. Make small alternating turns around the head instead of fully tightening one lug at a time to keep tension balanced and reduce uneven feel or dull tone. The listed lug size supports model comparison.
The hand-applied Kinetic Steel finish uses a specialized technique to create individual texture and metallic color movement. Supremo Select pairs a distinctive appearance with full-size shells, tunable natural heads, named hardware, and an included wrench for developing percussionists. Stating these details lets buyers compare more than artwork; natural or hand-applied finishes may vary slightly. The finish is model-specific.
